hey greenbirdz - good to hear from you. however, it is harsh just to brush off the X-box as a computer - it is a console - there will not be crashes and updates, and Microsoft promise that the number of ports from PC to the x-box will be limited. also, MS already have some great developers queing up to work with it -

personally, i would like all the next gen consoles to succeed, but this, i am aware, is unlikely

The X-Box is going to have a hard drive so no matter what Microsoft says, it will be able to freeze, crash, and all of that other annoying computer stuff.

i'm sorry, but think about it - the reason PC's crash, is because when games are developed, theres is NO WAY a game can be teseted on every possible hardware configuration - so for example, a Nvidia accelerator may not be tested with an athalon processor, so when someone with that setup buys the game, it may well crash.

with the xbox however, THERE IS ONLY ONE SET OF HARDWARE TO TEST, so the xbox will be as stable as a PS, N64, DC or any other important console - you mark my words

trust me on this one - i'm doing a degree in this stuff

Yes, but does your computer crash ONLY when you are playing a game? No. Hard drive = crashes.

x-box will just be a cheaper computer only designed for games and stuff. its gunna be cool i guess but im defintley not buying it. also i dont see much people who DO want it so it wont do as good as the GCN.

the x-box is a superior machine to the gamecube but my lack in developers so i am hopin to get both! but don't go dissing the x-box coz you have no idea what is going to happen!!

the x-box does not suck, it is more powerful than the gamecube and the ps2! only the games suck!
