Yes I was very excited about my favorite console maker jumping into the 128 bit world, but no cartridges?! Instead I see 3.5 inch discs! I'm almost hurt, Nintendo! But alas, how can i deny anything but Pokemon from the Boys in Japan. Minus the discs, Gamecube is a Godsend.
ehhhhh...besides teh fact that they're harder to screw up, cartridges suck
Oh boy, I had the 100th post here.....man, I cant believe we are only at 101
Yes the disks area a god send
i alwasy wanted a console that uses disks now i have one
(getting one)
yay oh and of course gamecube is also a even bigger god send
ok 1'st off it's not a 128 bit console the main procesor ( gekko ) is a 64 but procesor ok
and any way u don't need 128 bits 64 is enough all bits do is determine how big a calculation that procesor can handle
2'nd they have a 1.5 gig capacity im telling u that's enough
now i know ur thinking well PS2 uses DVD's right with a capacity of 6 gigs ........ wrong!!!
almost all of their games use the standard Cd which is only 650 meg
most gamedevelopers will never use up 1.5 gig not including Square but the only reason they do take up so much is cause almost all of that is FMV footage and not actual game play
but u won't need to put that much FMV in a console like gamecube cause u can reach near FMV graphics with the console itself
Well said again!
thank you
How can you not be hapy about using disks NO MORE CARTS
screw carts ive hates them since the N64
o course they have their ups, rder to copy, arder to screw up,arder to break
Im happy no over joyed that they are using disks ive always wanted them to AND DIGICARDS TO!!!!!!
i thin they r making a really good move cause carts are alot harder to program for
