Nah I think this is 100% exclusive like, Microsoft is behind it all the way. You got Gameinformer's Andy McNamara saying Microsoft literally would not allow any unveiling of this game until they thought it was ready. If a outside party has that much control over a 3rd party game its usually going to stay exclusive or some kind of deal is going on. It's like MS literally went to Ubi and said can you guys make a new SP game the way we want it and we'll fund and support it 100%.

  2. Are you sure they are funding it like that? If so that is pretty crazy. The way I read it was MS wanted their own "MGS4" and if any franchise can at least beat the gameplay of MGS, it would be Splinter Cell. Story though they might as well hire me to do it.

They've obviously given them some money for something, otherwise the game wouldn't be exclusive. Personally, I've prefered the Xbox versions of all the games up to this point. Graphically, the first three games were far superior on the Xbox, and they also changed certain things on the PS2 versions, like level layouts, and I never liked the changes that they made.

As for the fourth game, there was never a fourth game. This new one is the fourth game :P

  4. No there was a fourth game and it kicked ass. The second one is by far the worst.

These are one the games that i think can work greatly with natal somehow. Grabbing someone by the neck or bending down to hide somewhere. I'm just dreaming though and i know it won't happen. Though some concepts work better than others.

Yeah it seems possible that this game would work with some Natal aspects like you described. Question is just will Ubi go back and update the game for it since this comes out Nov and Natal Spring next year.

Screw using Natal with this, I'm pretty clumsy. I'd be discovered in seconds!

Same here. It's my birthday around the same time as the release, so hopefully, I'll have another 360 by the time it's out.

I will say though, that the first two people who talk on that video are idiots, going on about how the first game created a new genre, and defined stealth. What a load of bullshit.

Looks like we won't be seeing Splinter Cell until next year.

Splinter Cell, Red Steel, Ghost Recon slip

Ubisoft has revealed that both Splinter Cell: Conviction and Red Steel 2 have been delayed until the first three calendar months of 2010.

The publisher's results for its financial first quarter - April to June - also said that the new Ghost Recon game and I Am Alive have slipped as well.

Those were both down for the fourth fiscal quarter (January to March 2010), but "will now strengthen the line-up for fiscal 2010-11" instead.

Splinter Cell: Conviction looked in rude health at E3, where it was a lynchpin of the Microsoft conference, and we're expecting to bring you our hands-on thoughts soon. Ubisoft was putting a brave face on it, pointing out that it still has Assassin's Creed 2, which is due out on 20th November.

The publisher's financial first-quarter sales were down 50 per cent, which Ubisoft king Yves Guillemot blamed on a "very sharp slowdown in our sales for Nintendo DS as well as sales of back-catalogue titles, in the context of a market that is tougher than anticipated".

I must say im disapointed but it makes sense business wise. This game would eat into Assassins Creed sales so why not release them months apart. I think Assassins Creed 2 will have mosnter sales because of this move.

I just can't help but thinking that all of these end of year releases are moving so that their sales aren't affected by Modern Warfare 2.

The problem is eveyone is looking at COD but damn they should be looking at what everyone else is doing.

These games are supposed to all come out in the first quater next year:

    Darksiders
    Dante
    Bayonetta
    Lost Planet 2
    GOW 3
    Army of two
    Bad Company 2
    Bioshock 2
    Alan Wake
    Heavy Rain
    Mass Effect 2
    White Knight Chronicles
    MAG
    Singularity
    Red Dead Redemption
    Max Payne
    Mafia 2
    Splinter Cell Conviction

Personally id rather go up against COD MW 2 than all of that.

Modern Warfare can't be the culprit behind all these recent, and very suspicious, delays. I wonder what's up. Like you said AC!D, it's actually a WORSE time to release those games.
