had to it. the thread turned out to be a great success on the PS3 forums and win me over in the end:

Dante's Inferno PSP screens:

Good idea on the thread. Very few PSP threads are made, so it's worth it.
The Army of Two screen is very poorly scaled BTW. Dante's Inferno still looks early.

I just started thinking...
If/when the PSP2 is released and there is phone functionality in it...
SNE could effectively make their own 'Gaming Blackberry' by conjoining the efforts between their electronics/whatever their phone section is and SCE.
If SNE can win that moniker with a PSP2 I would have no doubt it would explode sales wise.

A version of the PSN multiplayer combat game coming to PSP.
by IGN Staff
US, June 2, 2009 - At their E3 2009 Media Briefing Sony revealed a version of Fat Princess will be coming to the PSP. A short clip of the game running on PSP hardware was shown in an extended sizzle reel showing a plethora of new games for the handheld. It's unclear whether the game will have unique features and modes for the PSP or whether it will be a direct port of the PSN title.
Stay tuned to IGN for more details on Fat Princess on PSP as soon as they become available.
i noticed that in the psp games montage
Anyone see LBP at the conference?
Ok so I just wanted to make a run-down of what the PSP apparently is up to for the next months... it's kind of a PSP E3 transcript.
This is basically to compile all that appeared to be announced during the E3 presentation.
PSP Go! is releasing for 249 USD and 249 Euros
Gran Turismo Mobile.......................October 1 2009
Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.......... Coming 2010
The following short list is coming 'Holiday Season,' rather ambiguous, expect not all to come but maybe most I guess?
Resident Evil PSP
Little Big Planet
SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite
Motorstorm Artic Edge
Hannah Montana
Harry Potter
"...to name a few."
Montage now... graphic at beginning displays 'movies, internet browser, photos, remote play, games, hard drive, bluetooth' and a lot of Playstation face buttons to top it off.
Starts with 6 games cut through really fast... only ones I could tell are Little Big Planet and Motorstorm: Artic Edge lol...
Then...
Little Big Planet again... shows jetpacks, a rocket attached to sackboy, swinging on suspended objects, elevators, moving platforms
Jak & Daxter, "aye aye Jack" says Daxter
Motorstorm: Artic Edge, the snowmobiles and trucks
Final Fantasy: Dissidia (I think? I thought I saw Cloud with a big sword, but really I just saw mostly a lot of purple light), Aug 25 2009 US, Sept 2009 EU
SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3, lots of SOCOM style shooting as expected
Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, uhh... big monsteres
Soul Calibur PSP... some FMV and some gameplay
Some cartoon/anime/investigation game I think?
Some PSEye/PSP game? Someone's real hand enters the screen, a monster is shooting fireballs at the screen while the 'screen' moves around, viewed below is someone's desk environment
A fighting game with some particularly large characters and weapons and purple fireballs
A tactics RPG
Some very, very peculiar platformer, a thin, casually dressed character splits into 2 characters, then to 4, and then to 8
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010
Pixel Junk Monsters, PSN Game
Madden NFL 2010
Some tennis game (Hot Shots Tennis? I forget the name)
Some RPG, 2D graphics
Another fighting game, a little like Soul Calibur, decidedly more anime, 3D graphics
Fat Princess, PSN Game
Hot Shots Golf
"A comic book tough guy," some big lumbering dude swipes at enemies with a large hammer, across a SNES Ninja Turtles like frame, no idea what this is
Star Wars Battlefield/Jedi game, looks like it's multiplayer
Pet Game, has horses, dogs, hamsters
Rock Band PSP? or some other rhythm game
Madden NFL 2010
Guitar Hero?
Looking fucking awesome!:

http://www.joystiq.com/2009/07/11/ps...twork-july-16/PSP version of Myst hitting PlayStation Network July 16
by Griffin McElroy { Jul 11th 2009 at 6:30PM } PlayStation
We know you've probably bought Myst eight or nine times by this point, but we thought you'd still like to know that a new iteration will soon be available -- this time, for the PSP. Hoplite Research, who collaborated with the adventure game's original developer Cyan Worlds to put the game on DS in December 2007, is dropping the game on the PlayStation Network next Thursday. Much like the DS version, the PSP port will contain all the Myst non-action you know and love, as well as the bonus Rime Age that appeared on Nintendo's handheld.
What the press release that revealed all this information lacked, however, was a price. We've contacted Hoplite to try and discern this crucial piece of information. We'll let you know as soon as we find out.

By Alex C [nofi], PR
Ignition have just let us know that the classic PSP puzzler, Archer Mclean’s Mercury, is now available for download from the PlayStation Store across Europe. Mercury, the “original and now iconic puzzle game,” involves the player trying to manoeuvre blobs of mercury around each level. The levels get progressively tougher and more complicated, with switches, platforms, obstacles and hazards being introduced into the mix.
We remember this game back in 2005 and it still looks fresh today – the game is a smart, addictive and visually unique puzzler and one that will keep your brain nice and busy on the morning train ride into work. It’s notable for being the first third party re-release too, as far as we know – let’s hope that lots more publishers jump on board the digital download bandwagon and get their PSP games onto the Store in time for the PSPgo.
it's a very good game actually. one of very few PSP games i actually got to play
I dont want to open a new thread for this so ill just ask about Assassins Creed PSP in here. Does anyone have any links, pics, description, preview or God forbid actual gameplay videos of the game running thats releasing this year?

Adhoc Party is yet another innnovative way the PSP connects to your PlayStation 3. Adhoc Party uses your PS3 internet connection to extend the PSP’s reach to local-only mulitplayer games such as Final Fantasy: Dissidia, and Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Sony has been beta testing this service in Japan for near a year now, and is downloadable from Japanese PS Store.
Now Sony is showing signs of bringing this exciting service to the US.
Sony has trademarked Adhoc Party covering “automatic operation transmitting of digital data in the nature of video game software”. With the impending North American release of Final Fantasy Dissidia, and the success of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite. Now would be the time to unleash Adhoc Party to PSP owners.

(Posted: 27/07/2009) by Ronin90
Final Fantasy VII has been on the PlayStation Network for a little while now, and it's been a huge success for Square Enix. However, it's set to become even more successful as Amazon have now started including Final Fantasy VII in their PSP bundles.
For just under 20,000 Yen ($210) gamers can get one of various Limited Edition PlayStation Portables. However, alongside this, they will also get a voucher that they can redeem on the PlayStation Network which will allow them to purchase Final Fantasy VII.
Maybe retailers in the West will start having similar ideas about the potential that Final Fantasy VII can have in the near future.
