I'm still waiting for a demo myself, namely because I'm not convinced the story will be any less cheesy than displayed in the first trailer.

I would still prefer the option to go at it stealthily, but I can enjoy a hack and slash. That said, I still feel a bit funny about Metal Gear suffering a revolution rather than an evolution

You don't eat pigs, we don't eat pigs,
It seems it's been that way forever.
So if you don't eat pigs and we don't eat pigs,
Why not not eat pigs together?

@BahnNZ I actually watched the 30 minute DMC gameplay demo at E3 and it looks really really good. Dont discount it just yet. The gameplay had a ton of combat depth. Unfortunately Dante still looks like a tit.

Graphically it looks nice, but really...Dante.... I know I should all be about the gameplay but they're making it hard for me. Even bigger tit than before. Cannot bring myself to play a game with a main character that uncool.

    What's good is either...

    a - Cool. i.e. Solid Snake
b - Blank canvas. i.e. Gordon Freeman, Issac in Dead Space 1.

    Floppy haired doucebag? Baaaad idea.

Currently playing: Everything God of War

I'm not liking the look of those guys with the caterpillar mitten arms.

"As of now we aren't considering a Vita version. The reason is one of the main appeals of Metal Gear Rising is this option of the free cut. That requires a lot of hardware power, which is only possible with the power of a PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360.

"So as of now, we haven't contemplated bringing it to handheld consoles."

    From 25th anniversity event
Girl said "久しぶりだね、雷電" ("It's been a while, Raiden.") at the end. Someone from past MG series?

  11. Most likely. She's also a computer genius so she's probably Raiden's 'Otacon' analogue.

There's a special kind of nerd though, who thinks computers will overtake mankind in thirty years, changing humanity in ways incomprehensible to us now, ignoring the third of the world without electricity. It gives spiritual significance to technology developed primarily for entertainment and warfare and gives nerds something to obsess over that isn't the crushing vacuousness of their lives.

That makes no sense: they're making a Japanese version for the PS3, and they're making an X360 version in English....

Maybe Japanese X360 owners realise what a fucking stupid name it has.

  14. Not worth the trouble to publish a 360 version in Japan, I guess.

Maybe they'll cancel the US 360 version too! Ooh, or maybe they'll cancel the game entirely! *fingers crossed*

I know it's Metal Gear and I'm programmed to like it, even if I had despised almost everything I had seen to date... but now I've got to admit this is looking incredible and it's possibly one of the best hack and slash games that we're going to get in a while.

I guess I can't care about some aspects of the series in this game, and as long as it provides some crazy good action as seen in this trailer, it's going to be great fun I'm sure. I guess I'll be getting it at some point.
