Thread: PS3 Rumours / News of the Day

  1. Yea I want a proper remake of MGS1.

They don't even have to make it longer, just make it totally interactive like MGS2 and 3 and stuff. Like, no need to re-invent it I mean, but so much space to make it super awesome on even PS2 or PS3.

Even just send us a port of Twin Snakes... I'd be happy with that.

I don't want a port of Twin Snakes. While I loved it at the time, I'd really like a better quality remake.

-Restore the script cuts from MGS1 (first thing that comes to mind is Ocelot's pervy lines about reloading)
-Tone down Kitamura's over the top scenes. I like Snake vs Gray Fox after the Ocelot battle, and Gray Fox massacring the guards in the hallway before Otacon's lab, but Snake getting shot head-on with the main gun of an Abrams, jumping off a missile, and flipping over a doorway? Come on now.
-Keep Gray Fox's VA job from Twin Snakes. It was objectively better.
-Redesign the levels to the MGS2+ mechanics work without making things too easy.
-Make dog tags actually do something.
-GET RID OF SNIPER WOLF'S LASER SIGHT. REAL SNIPERS DON'T DO THAT.

    etc, etc.

Welp, MGS and VR missions are just PSN download vouchers. So this is just a repackaged HD Collection with a voucher for VR Missions, which you'll most likely be able to buy off the PSN on it's own. Called it. Oh, and the art book isn't listed for the NA version. Stay classy, Konami.

The official Japanese site for the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection includes a few more details than was seen in the bundle's initial announcement. For starters, the pack will include "a 100-page artbook filled with [series artist Yoji] Shinkawa's work," according to a translation by MetalGearSolid.nl. The official Japanese site also lists a July 11 release date for Japan.

The English site for the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection also notes that the inclusion of both Metal Gear Solid 1 and Metal Gear Solid: VR Missions are via PSN download vouchers packed in to the bundle. The 100-page artbook isn't listed for the North American version of the collection.

Is VR Missions available in the US store? I think I didn't see it a while ago. It's the only game I'm missing.

I can't believe that they're managing to half arse the release in such spectacular fashion... again!

You don't eat pigs, we don't eat pigs,
It seems it's been that way forever.
So if you don't eat pigs and we don't eat pigs,
Why not not eat pigs together?

If it’s not impossible to do it’s probably been done

huh! Well fuck that shit. Saving my money.

There's a special kind of nerd though, who thinks computers will overtake mankind in thirty years, changing humanity in ways incomprehensible to us now, ignoring the third of the world without electricity. It gives spiritual significance to technology developed primarily for entertainment and warfare and gives nerds something to obsess over that isn't the crushing vacuousness of their lives.

Capcom probably hiting at a sequel to DmC : Devil may Cry, and will continue to outsource some of their projects with external development teams.

In addition, "DmC Devil May Cry" (for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360) enjoyed stable popularity in overseas markets and posted solid sales.

Ninja Theory mentioned they have another project, and it could be DmC2.

I still didn't bother to play the DmC demo.

It was pretty fun. It doesn't feel like any of the old DMC's, and it doesn't hold a candle to the first, my favourite, but it's not half bad.

Never worth the £48 they were asking for its digital version though! In fact, nothing that's downloadable is of such worth.

Off topic but I didn't want to create a thread just for my questions.

I can't see HD movies through Windows media from my PC, it keeps showing me SD movies. Anyone can help ?
I downloaded PS3 media serveur and I doesn't see my PS3 so I can't read any movie with it. Anyone can help ?

I'm doing this from my new 500Gb PS3, and I don't understand because it's my 3rd PS3 and I didn't have such pb with the fat and slim one. So WTF ?

Is your PS3's media server functionality turned on i.e. can you see the "Search for Media Servers" icons on the XMB?
