There are ways to reduce their size (less languages, lower bitrate video - although that would suck), and there are some first party games available, even though they're not too many.
I agree though, I don't think we'll see Uncharted or God of War III before PS4 (if it's backwards compatible).

Languages, yes... but that's maybe a quarter of the game size... and God of War 3 is around 40GB in Europe and 35GB in the US (probably including French and Spanish, though I don't know exactly). This would still amount to 25GB or thereabouts. My old internet connection gave me 2MB/s sustained... i.e. 3.5hrs of full speed downloading^^ Not sure my ISP would like that several times a month.
Now don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to see it too, but I can't see it happening soon.

why not upgrade it to a 500 HDD or even bigger???![]()
JESUS is LORD!!!!!!
Money? Or rather the unavailability of it?

For instance, God of War III included an hour or two of making-of and behind the scenes videos, which amounted to about half of its size. I wouldn't mind that digital releases omitted such content, mostly considering that I don't think I ever watched those. The most interesting stuff could be the cut content, which I don't remember watching right now.
Also, they could make such video content available separately, if the user wanted to download it.

Well... I forgot that^^ But don't OMIT it! I will watch it again! Make it optional. Steam can do it... so can PSN (game packs like Sly consist of 3 downloads for example).

Brothers in Arms: Furious 4 has probably been cancelled
Completely forgot about this title.
Never heard of it.

Still mad that they fucked up Hell's Highway, which looked like the most epic WWII shooter ever and was turned into a mix of Rainbow Six and pure nonesense.
Yay for E3 hype
Geoff Keighley @geoffkeighley
Today we filmed a huge top secret game reveal for our E3 coverage. Can't wait to share it with you - no one will see this one coming.
The problem with the "no one will see this one coming" claims is that the last few were utter disappointments and that it's probably not a game gamers are asking for. Well done on making me not give a damn.

I dunno I thought the South Park RPG by Obsidian was a cool surprise.
The last time he hyped that we wont see it coming we got The Last of Us so im hyped.
We did know it had something to do with zombies, so it wasn't really something we didn't see coming. And I didn't care about the South Park RPG, but that's just me.

I'll give a little damn, I guess.

He does however have a tendency to overhype his "exclusives". TLoU was well deserved, others weren't.
I remember in the past years, I always was very hyped before E3 and made posts of my guesses what we'll see... this year however... I couldn't care less (well, I am stressed out as fuck, slightly ill and well... I have a lot to do until next week^^)
I dunno... for me, the ship sailed with the current consoles. There's still the odd gold nugget here and there, no question, but I sort of doubt we'll see a lot we weren't expecting, or haven't heard about before (well, Sony does tend to pre-announce their E3 stuff, too, which is kind of strange, but the Sony Bonus Round from last week or whatever touched upon that).
With the current rumblings of Kojima et al, it might very well be Rising...

My guess is Half Life 3
