I wished they wouldn't waste resources on multiplayer... look at how many people still play Dead Space 2 online... on PC it's practically no one. (there are currently more players playing DS1 than DS2... and that was after both games were on sale on the weekend).
Kept you waiting
I though GOW3 was too much of kratos already
Won't even bother with another greek game with or without kratos, I'm assuming it will still feel way too samey.
Hopefully this is just to make money and there's another title in development for the hardcore who are already filled on GOWness.

Nor can there be a greater proof of its decadence than the fact that the nearer people are to the Church, the head of their religion, the less religious are they.”

Here's a nice video with the theme of Graphics vs aesthetics in gaming.
Realistic graphics are always good, when it comes to tech. adding more details more effect. But I also generally am more attracted to aesthetic in gaming. Not that you can't do both. But it does have a serious decision when purchasing a game I think and concerning the score of a game. Games I really find aesthetically appealing are games like TLG , Umito Fueta games, Patapon , katamary, Zelda games. This week, we define the difference between a games "graphics" and a game's "aesthetic", and why that distinction matters
When it comes to realistic games there are GOW III ( which does have a good aesthetic look because everything you see is particularly calculated and organized ) KZ3, Crysis 2.
But I m really satisfied with the render of a game today. I know the next graphic evolution will take place. But I would love If devs focused more in contents of a game rather than put everything into graphics. For example i liked game like GTAIV but I think the game was kind of too realistic compared to GTA III which had a more " fun " and " game-like " feeling Wher you couldn't take things too seriously. I loved GTA III graphics and aesthetic. I would have loved GTA IV to feature maybe less impressive graphics but more" cartoony " like visuals with better animation.
Killzone 2 has great aesthitics. His (?) reasoning for what is or isn't a good looking game is flawed, it is the end user that will determine aesthetics and if they are pleasing.
It's highly subjective, but there are rules, and he is on the right track. But I would disagree with him on Killzone's visual style.
The only rules I would follow is if they make sense to that product, but aesthetics have no rules to the end user. Graphics can be much more subjective than aesthetics as they are processes/procedures.
But whatever really.
I think you have that backwards. Aesthetics are subjective. Graphics are measurable.
Even graphics are largely subjective. It's only measurable when there is a quantifiable variable to compare it to. Say the lighting is the variable. What unit of measure is used to accurately measure the quality or quantity of lighting between 1 game and another? And do both games strive for the same level of lighting or is one game looking for a more surreal visual affect over the other?
I meant to say graphics can be subjected to a measuring system, so yes I didn't word that properly!
