There it is. As you can see, Nintendo seems to be sticking with the name they've already established in pre-E3 hype: Nintendo DS. This logo, seen in Nintendo's E3 2004 booth setup, is the first official information we've seen of the new system since the infamous Nintendo Nitro logo. That name, which was claimed to be an outdated development name by Nintendo representatives, now looks to be just that. Note that the Nintendo DS logo shows two equally sized rectangular screens, laid out one on top of the other.

i'm glad they're keeping the name DS and not changing it to Nitro (nitro always sounded kinda corny). After all this time calling it the DS, it would be weired calling it anything else.

They could still change it, but with all the hype around the name why bother, I like the name anyway. I want to see it! They'll show it during their press conference today right?

^I'm not sure that is the real pic....USA Today never said it was the real thing directly in their article. It could still be one of those fakes that people were creating as guesses
