There are some very nice songs on GHIV, although i kinda wish they didn't choose "Pull Me Under" as the Dream Theater song.

Pull me Under is a great song though, really good early stuff. Rock band 2 is a lot of fun so far though I don't like that their isn't a solo tour anymore, it's all just band challenges or band world tour, though you can do that in single player.

My bro might pick up RB 2 later today.

They need more Jimmy Eat World songs.

I am enjoying the game so far. I just wish the free DLC was available and I had more people to play with.

Single player is kinda boring, and kind of easy.

me and my brothers might get it soon, just because of all the new songs

Try panic attack, battery and painkiller on expert drums and then say it's too easy.

Expert drums and I don't get along. Hell, Hard drums and I don't get along. But I already know those songs are a bitch. Especially Painkiller.

Anyway, the game decided to get a bit more challenging, which really sucks since I hate playing a bunch of songs by myself. Also, it sems to take forever to unlock new songs.

Oh, and in case anyone didn't know: In order to get Rock Band 1 songs into Rock Band 2, you need the recent title update for RB1 and you can export the songs in the Options Menu (in RB1, just to clarify).

So, when does the E-mpire band(s) start?

How do you unlock songs? Me and angela already did the expert impossible challenges and I thought we had all the songs unlocked? Maybe i'm wrong though.

We can start an e-mpire band whenever. Though who should have the band on their profile?

From what I've noticed, they unlock after you play them through Band World Tour.

As for E-mpire band, I don't physically own the game yet, but I'll probably be getting it soon if not next weekend, so I would probably be able to join by that point.

Through the tour mode. It takes a while. I think I have half of the songs for RB2 unlocked thus far and I have about 5-6 cities to play in still.

As for the E-mpire band: I don't know who should have it on their profile. Maybe that's why we rock out with multiple bands. Like, each of us can have our own variation of the E-mpire band depending on who's online and who's willing to play what. Sounds a little complicated, but it might work.

We're unlocking them through Tour Challenge..... but I don't think we have all the songs yet because we haven't done all the challenges.

Well i'm pretty sure that as long as you are a member of a band you can go online with said band, you just can't play local tour with that band unless you own it. So we could have like 4 e-mpire people in the band and then just one of them has to be online for people to play in it.

I know that I would love to be in said e-mpire band!!!

anyway...you guys got it right....bothe challenges and world tour unlocks songs....but some of the challenges for different instruments have different songs so you may not have them by beating the challenges unless you beat them all....

world tour on the other hand unlocks them all as you go...and I believe you don't even need to play them...just unlock the venues that have the songs in them.

I am loving the game so far ....and I don't mind that there isn't a conventional single player... I really love the challenges because they are basically like the original single player in that there is a set of increasingly difficult challenges for each instrument and full bands.... but you can now have somebody play along with you if you want for the instrument specific ones.

the songs so far have been incredibly fun...but WAY more challenging than RB1... especially on drums!!! ugg.... even that new sonic youth "teenage riot" song gets me sometimes (stupid ending!!!!!) and that song isn't even in the last of the drums songs (although it is a 6 star difficulty....so maybe I should be too embarrassed.)

    I haven't even played RB2 since I got it 2 days ago.

Everlong on drums is ridiculous. I got conned into playing it on expert drums and just got my shit ruined.

I've noticed too that mystery setlists randomly pick songs based on the difficulty of the venue. For example, we got Blackened then ...And Justice For All in the same set.

Also, Painkiller is not as bad as the ratings make it out to be, but it's still pretty hard.

Try Painkiller on drums... what a pain. It's not even that it's wicked wicked hard.. it's just.. FOREVER. And then you just want to stop.

oh I bet, especially at the end where it should be a rock ending, but it's not. It's just a pile of drums.
