H-scroll for cripes sake. There's a big ass thread uptop the PS3 section to prevent this. Thumbnails Red, thumbnails.

PS: I don't see this title's relation with PS3 at the moment though.

Posted this in general video games already.

Anyways, it looks cool... Lets just hope it animates well rather than having stiff animation that Guilty Gear is known for.

  7. Guilty Gear's animation isn't on 3S of Garou's level, but it isn't bad either. It's better than any of the later KOFs.

Not really. With KOF XI being on Atomiswave rather than the regular Neo Geo MVS arcade board, XI feels as smooth as Garou. And with the next one being planed for the same board as this game, I have a feeling KOF XII will not be the prettier one, but it will be the more fluid one.

^Please link that rather than post it... It is stretching the screen.

Next up is Blaz Blue (pronoucned Blae Blue?), a whole new game by the creators of Guilty Gear X. The thing that immediately stands out about this game is the high resolution of the game that’s even more detailed than Guilty Gear X. It will be on a 16:9 screen with a 1280×768 resolution. (Guilty Gear was 640×480.

As far as a story goes, it takes place in a futuristic world where magic was introduced to mankind by 6 mysterious heroes who helped them win a war against the “Black Beast”. Several decades after humans won this war, mankind flourished with their new powers, but now an orgnization called Ikaruga controlling mankind’s magical technology dominated the world with force. A 2nd war broke out between humans with a annhilation of the opposing force. In such world, a surprising incident occures; A single human is destroying the organization’s branch one by one. His name was Ragna the Blood Edge.

Three more characters are introduced, who seems to be all related to the Ikaruga organization. The gameplay seems to be the usual 4 button system of Arcsystem, but with another button called the Drive which is used to perform many character specific moves. Some might not even an attack move

The resolution of the sprites still seems lower than Super Turbo HD's, but it is good enough. Like I said before, hopefully it animates better than the Guilty Gear series.

New screens, and a new character who seems to be a lot like Potemkin.

  17. Does this take place in the same universe as Guilty Gear? Just wondering.

I thought so orginally, but I am not sure. A lot of people are saying this is a totally new franchise, so it is seperate from the Guilty Gear universe, but I have no clue really.

  19. You could say, 'this character resembles that one' but that's easily more to do with their art direction than linking universes. [Akira Toryama anyone?]
