PixelJunk Monsters to be released next week

Nice article in the US official blog. I didn't know they made the Earth visualizer. I think they're also responsible of the XMB wave, but I'm not too sure.

    ^Hehe.

    Oh, read this:

"Originally, we were working on the Gaia project (our name for the earth viewer) as a possible boot sequence for the PS3. The waving cloth background, also created by Q-Games, got the nod when the PS3 launched."
But wouldn't have that happened before PSP's launch?

I think they only mean the boot sequence, thats why "when the PS3 launched".
But good to hear they made the Earth viewer, because its great.

Yeah, that's what I'm referring to. I just mean they were probably working on the PS3 boot sequence well before PSP launched, and the XMB was like that already both on PSP and in early PS demonstrations.

Well, they could've had a globe when booting, then have the "wave" load along with the XMB.

Damnit. It's been the 17th for a few weeks now. Frustrating.

I'm gonna take the dev's word on the deepness of the game, some nice criticism on the blog.

He may just be trying to sell the game, but it's not that much money to blow anyway... hopefully someone of the forums will get it before me and post a quick review...

I really don't think so, but whatever. By the look of the gameplay in that trailer, it's local.

For those of you left with 500 yen after purchasing GT5P through the Japanese PSN store:

You can get PixelJunk Racers for 500 until the end of the month. The pic above might be a bit misleading, as the promo doesn't include both PJ games. It just says a demo for PJ Monsters will be available in the same period. I believe English texts and voices are included in both games. I'm 100% sure they are included in PJ Monsters, as they said so in the official US blog.

it's seems a little too simple, but the more I play the more I like it. I was hoping that I could control small groups of armies like Warhawk tho...

but yeah, this might be another one of those PSN games that far outweighs there price and become another must-have like Stardust...

    we'll see..
