They change on the first tuesday (Wednesday EU) of every month. So as long as you get it by July 4th, you should get every free game currently available.

i wish i could afford this. it's a pity that Sony haven't actually advertised this offer on TV because i'm sure lots of people would love to think they'd get 10 free games with their first PS3

Sure, the communication about this (Plus in general) isn't ideal. I was always "on the verge". But the promise of 10 games, and the launch with that lineup has pushed me over the edge. Will get this (and hopefully a job, soon^^) early next month.

fucksticks. I got a $50 voucher, but the funds wont add to my account. Emailed Sony, hopefully they'll help with it, but fucksticks to that shit.

  6. So there's like 10 free games on PS+ right now, I started downloading most of them and the server got taken down for maintenance. -____-
But the ones that are downloading are still downloading so fuck it. Come back in the morning.
Edit: Nevermind! It's back up. They took it down for like 5 minutes.

There's a special kind of nerd though, who thinks computers will overtake mankind in thirty years, changing humanity in ways incomprehensible to us now, ignoring the third of the world without electricity. It gives spiritual significance to technology developed primarily for entertainment and warfare and gives nerds something to obsess over that isn't the crushing vacuousness of their lives.

Downloaded Infamous 2 and LBP2, 'purchased' the rest. How many games change at a time?

"Eating this up" has a bad connotation where I am from. As far as I am concerned, you'd be a fool not to go PS+. Go for 3 months. All those awesome games you got for that long and for only £12.

I really think Sony should have shouted this from the roof tops. One of the best things they've done in ages as far as I am concerned (service wise).

And yeah my FL got a few new gold pluses as well

here is a new survey by Sony. it asks if people who subscribe to PS+ would want to get a copy of games on both consoles. on the face of it this sounds good but this could be what to expect in the future. we already get some games for the price of one so this suggests that policy could change to entitle only PS+ owners to get this perk. and there's also something about GT Vita:

only reason I'm slightly hesitant about signing up is because I would want VF5 Showdown forever, but I will be done with Infamous 2 and probably LBP2 as well after finishing them one or two times...

So I think it's a deal...will sign up this weekend...

Well, you would get it forever wouldn't you. So long as you're a member and you 'purchase' them?

    Can I purchase VF5 though? I think it's free with PS+

After the 3 months I would lose it, which is why I would rather just get it at a discounted price as I don't need plus forever...

I think you can. Obviously still need to be a plus member, but I don't think any of these 'run out,' they just get switched for new games that can be downloaded

It doesn't look like you can buy them if you have a PS+ account but once your a member and download them you get them free as long as your a member.

i can't remember Sony saying this. can anyone verify this? last paragraph:

Sony said they plan to make good on Sony Computer Entertainment president Jack Tretton's promise to revamp their PlayStation Plus club by offering more top-tier games at no cost.

Sony announced they are bumping up their "Instant Game Collection" to 10 free titles this week and a promise to offer at least three more free ones a month. They will also offer a new "Game of the Month" feature every four weeks.

Some of the new games available this week include Virtua Fighters 5: Final Showdown, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath HD and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. PS Plus members will also be able to download new titles for free as well as free Blu-ray offerings including inFamous 2, MotorStorm: Apocalypse and LittleBigPlanet 2.

Tretton first announced the changes at Sony's E3 press conference earlier this week and awarded everyone in attendance with a free year voucher for the service. The rest of us will have to pay either $17.99 for three months or $49.99 a year.

Sony also announced plans to update its movie service by offering an unlimited viewing service for movies on demand at a monthly fee.

Going from what he linked, he misunderstood the article. This would be somewhat big news but I've seen nothing of this.
