handhelds rule japan
We the people...
i think a lot of people overlook the three-pronged attack of Sony and concentrate too much on the PS3... the PS2 is important because it inspires more people to want a Sony product. the same can be said for the PSP, but it also helps to promote the PS3 and visa versa.
Well, the Prologues never sell that well, compared to the full games...
Looking at GT4P, it "only" sold about 1.3mil units, compared to GT4s 8.8mil units(and GT4 had a massive PS2 install base to boot)
And since this is still japan only (and GTs sell their most units in Europe), we can only guess, that this game may already crack the 1mil units sold worldwide (GT4P sold 790k units in Japan and was never officially released in the US)

Wow, those numbers are awesome. Thanks to the 40 GB PS3, I guess.

Yeah, the PS3 overtook the 360 in TOTAL sales in Germany! In 9 Months, against ~23 (or whatever) at a higher average price.
Now, only the UK need to turn around and buy PS3s, then we are all set
I just hope, Sony sees this movement and doesn't delay every other product they release in Europe... As they can see, Europe is a VERY viable market, with a higher "profit margin" (games cost here more than anywhere else, hence the profit must be higher, as the production cost is virtually the same).
Nintendo is guilty of this too, in Europe. Pretty sad actually, as doing regional conversions wasn't a problem with the Sega Genesis (ok, Sonic 1 ran slower than the 60Hz version^^), so Sony and Nintendo shouldn't have a problem either.

Sony really needs to get more software out and of higher quality and greater appeal in Europe because the hardware sales will be there. This also applies to all territories, but the software marketing needs to improve.

yeah that's what i'm thinking. a better, more well supplied launch with more games did wonders for Sony in Europe.
cools.. most people i know around here have PS3's or 360's more people tend to be buying ps3s than 360s
and segitz, im pretty sure theres some sill ammount of tax in the EU that makes games the price they are, otherwise we would see a fsck load of lawsuits
True, those stupid European taxes... also, we have to import hardware because it's not manufactured here.
