The hardware numbers are up but the software numbers take longer to add to their database. 8 consoles vs 200+ games.

The current hardware numbers for US and Europe are:

Europe:
X360 - 47,735
PS3 - 75,390
Wii - 92,338


US:
X360 - 102,622
PS3 - 89,585
Wii - 218,189


Japan numbers should be up tomorrow at which time I'll update my Sales Thread.

Coded, it's been that way software wise since the start of this generation. It's since the start of the year they are getting in a better hardware position. Software will eventually follow if the hardware can stay up there.


Expect 150-200k first week for GOW.

Some sports titles already can't pack everything in DVD and release some stuff on day one for free via DLC on X360 and without a hard-drive you'll be missing those.

Plus many other downloadable things that you won't be able to download.

Unless you are willing to pay £5000 to Microsoft for a 15kb Hard-Drive.

yeah, but i think i'd only want the arcade version.
i'd get a wireless controller and a memory card, set it up in my room and just use it for games like mass effect and bioshock.

i still want a PS3 for the main console though.

But why waste that £150 (+controller, +memory card) when that can be used to pay quicker for your upcoming main console?
Hell you can upgrade your PC good enough to run Bioshock with £150.
