The wraps have been taken off the first WiiWare game, and it comes out of Vienna.

August 08, 2007 - Viennese company Bplus has celebrated its fourth birthday this week by announcing that it's gained official Nintendo developer status, and that it'll offer original games for the WiiWare service.

The wraps have been taken off the first, called PLÄTTCHEN twist ’n’ paint, which has been built from the ground up for Nintendo's new console and its innovative controller.

Few details have been divulged, but Bplus said that the game will be "an easily accessible and exciting game experience that will easily attract hardcore Nintendo fans as well as relatively unexperienced players."
    Looks interesting and sounds awesome!

I bolded the "relatively" part because it seems as though they put it in there to sound like it has a broad appeal (and it probably does) but perhaps the hardcore Nintendo fans will like it the most. I surely hope so!

I like how its got the word 'paint' in there. I love the rare games where you get to create your own things.

The WiiWare has been something Ive been looking forward to since they announced the Wii. Im very much looking forward to the upcoming games.

Now that is certainly colorful. I'm not sure how it'll turn out, but the first original game is a step in the right direction! I've always found the marketplace one of the 360's coolest features, and now the Wii is starting to get original little games too. Neat. This should also help smaller developers to get their games out there without having to release 50 dollar minigame collections that no one will buy to stores.

They won't if they're 50 dollars. Now people will start to sell their fun yet insubstantial games via WiiWare so people can enjoy them without being ripped off.

I'm a sucker for interesting puzzle games, so hopefully this is one of them.

I'll be interested to find out what exactly you do in this game.

It does look like a puzzle game (and it probably is) but with 'paint' in the title I cant help but think its something more...

Also, I translated "PLÄTTCHEN" online and got "PLATELET". Dammit, wtf?

That explains why it's all blood red.

Hmm definitely looks interesting. I'm not big into puzzle games but at least the graphics show an improvement from some other Wii games.

Some thing dawned on me they look like blood cells somewhat and platelets are the clotting aspect of blood so maybe its a puzzle game with drawing blood cells new colors to cure black and white cancer or herpies... in space... cuz those rocks look like meteors.

It went from plausible to absurd to ridiculous.
