    what about 11-60?

Also, Melee #91?! WTF?! it may not be top 10, but it's certainly top 50, minimum.

also, I like how so many people complain about Nintendo systems, yet whenever any respectable source makes a top 10 list, it's dominated by games that originally came out for a Nintendo platform. 7/10 for this one.

Big thanks to Ihsiin for the sig!

Street Fighter 2 should be somewhere in there, in the top 30 atleast.

And I don't agree with OOT in the top spot (in the top 10 for sure, but not the top spot).

I need to see the rest of the list before I comment on it.

i like it. no-one will totally agree with it, but it seems good enough.

there's some great little games in there. mr. driller!
glad gitaroo man made it as well. wish we could see the rest of the list, though.

    edge is a great magazine.

I'm sorry, that list is not very good. Not like any list of that size can be of any decent order, though. It looks to me like they just brainstormed the 10 games that would make people angry not to see near the top and made them the top 10, and just filled the other 90 with the games they like in little logical order. Too many of them recent, too.

That's a really odd list...and I seriously don't see how any SSB makes these lists...I really just must miss something every time I play. And the mere fact that a Paper Mario game made the top 100 means the list is about as credible as a Maxim top 100 Games List would be for me...

I mean look at it...there are so many cult-hits that it's hard to take too seriously. Most cult-hits should be cult-hits because they are very hit or miss, and by that it is weird to see them making a top games list then...

I mean Football Manager 2007...Ikaruga (loved it but still...), Jet Set Radio Future, Manhunt, Nights, Mr. Driller...I could go on. Sure, Mr Driller is fun, but should it make any top 100 lists...eh?

Crackdown shouldn't be on that list. I'm sure its fun but top 100? Come on. Also why is psychonauts at 99?

Also FF XII in the top 10? What? I thought old school Final Fantasy games were the best.

    Also manhunt sucked.

People always point out that these lists aren't very good or accurate or credible for whatever reasons, not least of which the fact that everyone's opinions and criteria of and for "the best games" varies vastly.
But they are good in that they spark discussion.
    Augh! Whatever.
I've brought this up before, and nobody cares.

With that said, here's more rehashed stuff that nobody cares about.

Halo does not deserve the seventh place.
    The single player was boring.
If it achieved that high a placement based on multi-player alone (because yes, it is fun,) then why isn't Super Smash Bros. Melee as high?

Other than Halo, Resident Evil and Final Fantasy, I'm satisfied with the top ten.
(I just don't care about Resident Evil and Final Fantasy.)

I'm very glad to see Psychonauts on the list, but it's placed at least fourty places too low.
Of course, if it were placed as high as I think it deserves to be, I wouldn't see it because places 11-60 are omitted.
And I'm not saying it is 'better' than all of the lower-fourty games.
Just that the list could be reshuffled more appropriately, in my opinion.

In my view a "cult-hit" is a game that just doesn't achieve mass popularity, regardless of how good it is.
But I wouldn't even know many of the "cult-hits" listed with which to disagree anyway.

I see your point, and I think that a number of the listings may have achieved higher placement than they might actually deserve due to being 'street-credible' and having such esoteric and/or old-school value.

I forgot Shenmue. It should be on that list somewhere, hopefully at #11.

Looks like they took last years list and just copied and pasted it...

I don't get this list at all. What exactly is this supposed to be? The best games you can buy now? Clearly not. Games better then Zelda OOT... Zelda TP for a start! Lots more.

Then what is it then? Games that had the biggest impact at the time? Well you start at the games that started new genres. Street Fighter 2, Space Invaders, Populous, Dragon Quest 1, Ultima.

And here he is, making his best of all time, and leaves out Super Mario 3? Is he nuts? Puts Super Mario World instead. Every Mario fan out there rates Super Mario 3 higher than SMW.

Exactly how does God of War get a 95 and Virtua Tennis 3 get an 80. What the ??%@???? Where the hell did VT3 come from? Did people give it 9.9s at the time? I think not. Tennis game, like a lot of tennis games. I have VT3 for PS3, it ain't even in my top ten PS3 games, what the &&??!! It's not even my favorite Tennis game, Wii Sports Tennis is more fun.

Been smoking that crack. It's a list of games from Game Rankings shuffled. I like FFXII fine but no way is it in the top ten of anything, escepially not the best Final Fantasy ever. Not the best PS2 RPG ever, not anything. Put the crack pipe down. Put it down.

What a crappy list. Ill thought out.

Currently playing: Everything God of War

I agree with a lot of what you said Apple. But Zelda: TP is nowhere near OoT and any true Zelda fan will agree.

Melee should definitely be in the top 10. Arg!

And yes, Mario Bros. 3 > Super Mario World.

Id like to buy this magazine because EDGE is awesome. Australia gets it pretty late, though.

I disagree, but Super Mario 3 needs to be there. It's an awesome game.
