I don't think there will be a live webcast, as sony has informed me that I have to wait until after the show (probably, as in the words of the PR rep I spoke to) to post any video of it. So, this may turn out to be one of the first spots you see it pop up.

It would be quite awesome to be the first PS3 forum on the Internet to provide video coverage Make sure to make MP4 videos, Frosty!

  6. I'm gonna go read the Eurogamer text update anyway if they do one.

    They are hilarious.

Thanks Frosty, looking forward to it.

Have you got the needs to capture in HD?

    Hey frosty,

why not you guys also do a live webcast from Sony conference. That would rock the house like no other. Add a mix of our PSI-next fun flare n that's a perfect recipe right there. See if its possible to do, would be an amazing feat, no?

Read the first part of my previous post for your answer yoshaw. MP4 will be the first format I release it on. Sorry, no HD yet though. As for live updates, I have something planned for that as well right here on PSi.

by the way, if you can use our watermark that would be great. a lot of people will be linking and duplicating everyone else's media, so it would be nice to have recognition for your work. that goes for vids and pics if you can.

and keep up the good work! you are our inside man. our eyes so to speak. lol

Sony won't have anything to do with the encoding of the video. I will be handling all that. And be sure that MP4 will be the first format I release.

That's some serious multitasking then. Real time blogging plus HD recording by one person.

I think I can do it. All I would need to do is have a cell phone nearby connected to someone else on the homefront, and when I was able to wide out my shot and leave it there for a second I could pick up the phone and relay updates. Also keep in mind that the person on the phone will most likely be able to hear what is going on anyway, so they may not even need me to say anything.

can you use a laptop to type and upload directly to the site or will that distract you?

also, text updates of the events isn't really an issue since a lot of site will do them anyway. if there is a choice, a video one will stand out much better than a text one. so don't lose any sleep over it.
