What gamepads do you think are the most reliable, and have the best software? Like up to date software?
I really like using my PS2 pad for stuff on my PC, because I play stuff like Halo 2 and a lot of PS1 games.
I was yesterday considering buying a 360 pad for the PC, but then I looked at it, and I really don't like controllers that aren't my PS2 controller lol.
I'm currently running Vista, and suddenly I go to change settings for by Mayflash Dual Box Pro for my PS2 controller connected to my PC and suddently the right analog stick goes funky on me, and the left one works fine, it's very odd. I'm 99% sure this isn't a hardware problem.
Does anyone know where the settings are stored for the analog sticks by any chance with this driver? I tried to look into one or two .dll files with some .dll reading thing, but I couldn't find anything, plus I don't even know if that's where I'm supposed to look.
It says on their official site that Vista drivers will come 'soon,' but soon is a pretty broad thing you know?
Does anyone else have this adapter, Mayflash Dual Box Pro, or have any idea on how to fix this? I really want to play Halo 2, and my plans totally got ruined.... lol :P
The 360 pad isn't bad for the PC. I'm using the the 360 + the wireless -> PC hookup and it runs fine on Vista.
I use the wired 360 controller. Works great for emulators. haven't tried it on a pc game yet.
Well... the 360 controller for PC costs 75.99.... so... I'm not going to buy that... lol!
And getting a 360 just to play games on the PC is out of the question lol.
Anyone know any other good solutions? Preferably ones that have to do with adapters that connect Dualshocks lol.
Is there maybe a way to get a PS3 pad to work with the PC, and software to get it to work with Vista maybe? I wonder how much a PS3 pad costs right now though...
Thanks for the info about this stuff though.
Edit - Hey, does anyone know if that PS2 to PS3 USB adapter would work on a PC with Vista???
Were do you live that it costs that much? I paid 20$ for mine its wired. Got it used though but still 20$ is pretty cheap.
Edit: pretty sure that would work on a PC just have to find drivers.
Oh sorry, CAD dollars, Future Shop's pricing, new also lol. Pretty ridiculous price, but whatever.
I'll have to look for drivers I guess if I'm to buy the PS2 to PS3 USB controller adapter, here I come Google... lol.
Ok I searched for 3 seconds and I found this...

Is this the thing you're talking about DeadCell? I think this is the regular PS2 to PS3 adapter, pretty sure it can be found a Futureshop, I'll have to try it out, thanks for the help.
God damn, why does this need to be so difficult to find in a store
Ah well, I'll just wait for Vista drivers lol, feel free to use this for any other PC pad help and talk though.
It says plug and play so try it out. Though not everything is always plug and play that says it is.
^Ya, that's true, I can't find it like in a store though also, so I'll just wait for Vista drivers for the hardware I have right now.
