I'm hoping for full cockpit view but I guess the implementation will be depending on the amount of cars. It must be a real pita modeling cockpits for 500 cars. In addition to modeling the exterior in a painstake detail.
Anyway I've always played GT4 at the bonnet view, I can't get any immersion from staring the car's butt all the time So any cockpit view can only make the game more immersive.
EDIT: in the video they show full model of dashboard for 300SL so we can expect something very interesting
So many games so little time..
that and the handling is completely off from that view.Anyway I've always played GT4 at the bonnet view, I can't get any immersion from staring the car's butt all the time
PS. even the sound FX change. you can hear the engine and other sounds as you would sitting inside a car. nice.

Don't mean to crush dreams but you know the inside of the car has to be modelled too, regardless of if you can play form that angle or not.
I thought I was going to see Cockpit view driving but all I saw was a 3 second clip of someone modelling a steering wheel.
I won't celebrate yet by any means though I do expect it to make it into final (even if it's only for some cars), this is not a confirmation, far from it.
Did the interviewer asked if there will be car damage in the game? If not, hes a mothef...
Do you think GT5 wont have car damage? I cant believe that there will be all this high technology but no new interaction...
everyone remember this pic
That pic is from a very old build, there aren't people or flags on the sides of the road. But anyway, the cockpit view is going to be amazing at 1080p and a decently sized HDTV, as we'd be able to see all the necessary details to make it totally playable.

All I understood from that video was....
'...tout le [car model] a la perfection.'
It's probably all I needed to understand though also :P

“Porsche and Lamborghini brands to be confirmed”
“A collaborator takes again the pad: black screen, a multitude of lines, all written in Japanese. Impossible to read/understand anything, except the word Indianapolis.”
“I can assure you that there will be a game which will be released between GT4 and GT5”, in Kazunori Yamauchi's words.
The article finishes on 2 particularly interesting paragraphs since one has the explanation of the problem concerning F1 and in the second, the precise details on the damage.
For that, I can only advise you to buy the magazine. It is not publicity but for once there are no badly precise details but more especially confirmation on behalf of the creator himself.
Huge news if any of that is true I find it hard to believe that we'll see more than 12 cars in an online race, but who knows.

What magazine did that supposedly come from?
If it is true, then damn...
Yeah...good news IF true...start the investigations!!!
“Had the religion of Christianity been preserved according to the ordinances of the Founder, the state and commonwealth of Christendom would have been far more united and happy than they are. Nor can there be a greater proof of its decadence than the fact that the nearer people are to the Church, the head of their religion, the less religious are they.”
