Following FFIII's success, here comes FFIV!
Although I never played it, I read many times it's probably the most popular retro FF title. Nice to see a remake.

This title is probably one of my favorite titles of all time. This FF is the one with Cecil correct? I think I have it right...? I'll buy a new Nintendo DS Lite when this game releases at the very least also. I wonder how long it's going to take for them to develope this title.
Didn't they already release a FFIV remake on the GBA?
man it's tough... chrono trigger damnit!!!
Teh Flocke of D.I.C.K's Timekeeper!i!i!i

I love you, I hate you. Will you marry me? I just want to kill you.
It was an awesome game, but Final Fantasy VI is the most popular "retro" Final Fantasy title. Not only that, but it's even often picked above FFVII or other later titles. For the biggest part, fans are divided between FFVI and FFVII. But FFIV was really great, however.
See, I've played this partially on PS once (i think that's where I played it), and I've played the rom.. but I never really really played it.
My cousin is a garbage man.. and on top of the trash he found a brand newish GBSP and in it was this game.. so he ganked it and gave it to me. I haven't got far.. but if It's coming out as a remake.. I've got to beat this one and beat it soon..
Holy shit. I just realized that I've never finished a FF game.
Almost finished Chrono Trigger if that counts.. but at the very last boss.. my computer was fried and the rom was dead.
Pisses me off.

Given it at already is out on GBA, i'm rather surprised to see this rather than some other Square-Enix game going to DS.
I agree with bobo_ess, where's Chrono Trigger? We already have a portable version of IV..
I have IV on SNES and GBA, this will not be bought.
Though there are a ton of other RPG games they could remake I guess none bear the pull that the name final fantasy does.
Ah hell another game to buy...damn you Nintendo...
Chrono Trigger is coming I know it is, well actually Im hoping and holding out still ... Id rather a third game in the series (or 4th depending on your history) since that is one franchise I love more then Final Fantasy and Zelda put together!
I love you, I hate you. Will you marry me? I just want to kill you.
I'm hoping more for chrono trigger on VC than portable.
I might just go rom that one all day tomorrow.
And you love it more than Zelda? BLASPHEMOUS!

^ Chrono Trigger, Radical Dreamers, Chrono Cross... these games are like the central reason I want to be a game developer. These ones are beyond special, I love Zelda, FF, Mario, MGS... but the Chrono series is the best there is in my opinion!

Square Enix could just go back and grab every RPG they ever made for the SNES or NES, redo the graphics, and sell it for another 30 bucks a pop.
Save themselves a shitload of time and money thinking up new stories, and people would buy all of them anyway. That SquareEnix logo is worth it's weight in gold.
What's the goddamn point?
