Since pokemon has been the big topic latley it made me remember Pokemon Snap for N64. I feel like I was the only person who just loved that game, as pointless as it was... and the best part about it was going to Blockbuster to print out your stickers.... I swear... I don't still have all those stickers
Sure, just like how my bedroom door is *not* covered with tiny group shots of Charmanders
THROW DOWN! Super Street Fighter IV matches. PSN: whyneedasn
^Aw, Charmanders! I loved taking pictures of that swarm of them.
If I could buy one of those sticker printers, I absolutely would. I always wondered what happened to them.
I remember spending hours trying to get super high scores for my Pikachu, Mew, and Jigglypuff pictures.
Pikachu on Articuno FTW!
holy shit, i think i owned this game... haven't thought about it in years.
pokemon snap for the wii would be the best game ever
if they dont make one, i will send some nasty letters nintendo's way
it would be interesting to see how they would use the wiimote as a camera
It was a fun game, but I think if they were to make a new one they should not put the player on tracks, instead opting to let the player roam around the area stealthily or not so stealthily as the situation warrants.
Also, you should get a tranquilizer rifle.
Why was there never a sequel to this game? I can't imagine the game not selling well seeing as it was...Pokemon.
Because the game was terrible. Don't get me wrong, I loved it to death when it came out, but when I popped it into my N64 last year, after my love of pokemon was long dead, I realized how much it sucked.
Not necessarily. I have loved every Mario platformer and every Zelda game for the last 15 years (when I started playing video games). I haven't seen them suck or anything.
The only reason Pokemon Snap was good was because I liked Pokemon, and anything that had Pokemon in it was good by extension. It was a vicious cycle.
I find that if I try to play a NES game that I never played as a kid it sucks.
Either it was a huge coincidence and I played all the good games and missed all the shitty ones, or when we are young we like games for whatever reason and then when we are older we are able to appreciate them again even if we wouldnt normally.
Uhh, but then theres the thing with Koten not liking Pokemon snap anymore.
Forget I said anything.
I used to be thecube_128
I sort of enjoyed Pokemon Snap when it came out. It's still in my collection (I never get rid of games). I sort of liked how the game made the Pokemon a bit more real, putting them into their natural habitats and having them behave in their own ways unrelated to Pokemon battling. I'd have liked to have seen a 3D Pokemon game for the home console, and in this game you wander around an open 3D world wherein wild Pokemon behave much as they did in Snap. I have yet to see my ideal game.
Best. Game. Ever.
Me and my friends still have fun whenever we bring this one out for a few rounds.
Big thanks to Ihsiin for the sig!

Not even I understand why, but we Pokemon fans have a way to enjoy almost anything Pokemon. Heck, I've even considered a few times watching the anime again. Thankfully my better judgment kicked in at this point.
I remember this game, I remember finding "special shots", those were the good days.
Then I got bored.
