...makes me want a ps3
Honestly, it makes me feel so "WTF?!?!?!"...
I'd appreciate they spent more money promoting games properly. A 15 seconds advert with 3 seconds of random actual footage isn't the best way, IMO. I don't mind weird adverts from time to time but I think they went too far with this one.

well, it seems to be working.
ok....
i agree with you, VG
JESUS is LORD!!!!!!
What is "north European" supposed to mean?
We dont differentiate between north and south (as America does), as Europe is only one continent in itself^^ (Yes, the trailer has suomi (finnish) subtitles, i know). (But we do differentiate between east and west, repercussions of the cold war).
It already ran on german tv (late at night) if I remember correctly... The "strangest" of all is still the crapping women, talking about her dead mother!!
Kept you waiting
...the north of europe.
The subtitles is from northern europe

the other way around. Canada is part of north america.

This is living site now with fullscreen version. I am not sure if it's different than the youtube version. I wasn't willing to watch the soccer scene again.
My take on it-- it's a weird ad campaign, but it is stylish. It's not so much telling you about games and specs as it is trying to be creative and original.
I want to see more games and system promotion. Nintendo is broadcasting excellent adverts for both the Wii (several ads showing each feature like the channels and the Wiimote itself in different games) and DS (many different titles and how they're all played). I wish Sony stopped being so abstract and showed some games. The latest PSP ad to make people aware of the price cut is decent though, but it shows no games. I still haven't seen God Of War 2 TV adverts, although I've seen one at the cinema (before "300" - suitable!).

I don't think it's Sony not showing off the games enough, it's just that there isn't anything on it yet to blow people away.
I mean, like what's going to grab consumers attention that's not on X360 or Wii? (cheaper systems) What Sony markets heavily has to be considered something you need to play because it's only on Playstation, or better or PS or whatever. Those titles aren't here yet?
Little Big Planet is probably something we'll see a lot of commercials for. Of course Playstation Eye, and Home. Singstar will be all over the place. There's games Sony will really market to consumers, they're just not here. Which i why I believe Sony really didn't want to launch this early...

Nor can there be a greater proof of its decadence than the fact that the nearer people are to the Church, the head of their religion, the less religious are they.”

This is not aimed at people like us for god sake.
Stop asking for game footages, if you want game footages go check Gamespot etc.
This is selling the idea of desire and obsession.
It's saying "don't let anything hold you back, enjoy what you will." because that's what makes life worth living (hence, "This Is Living")
That's the idea behind the ad campaign which nicely ties into "fuck $600, just buy it" kind of thing I guess.
Very nice short film there, I really liked it.
Other than the connection I already made, I'm not sure how else it ties into the PS3 but I guess Sony believes/ hopes if it can get people to feel what that film was created to make people feel, they can start to push people into the idea behind the PS3 which is it's so well made, so great, just buy it and enjoy it.
Almost saying "as good as life".
Definitely a strong campaign but it's actually (surprisingly) relying on people's intelligence and it kind hopes that people will 'feel it'.
Sony is known for it's daring campaigns and this one is daring both in content and daring as it relies on people way more than a normal campaign should.
