Hmm they were always making Tales for the PS2. So this isn't news. Although I thought Tales of Symphonia was supose to be the one that they were making as an gamecube exclusive. *shrugs*

The series was never to be exclusive in the first place. I need to see that from another source to believe the TOS portion though.

    IGN:

April 08, 2004 - Just a few hours after we'd posted our story about big news acomin' in the world of Namco's Tales series of RPGs, the big news managed to leak out of sources in Japan who managed to get next week's issue of weekly comic Jump Magazine in advance. The big news concerns two PlayStation 2 entries in the Tales franchise: Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Rebirth.

Tales of Symphonia is a PS2 port of last year's GameCube Tales debut. Namco's Tales Studios, the division of the company that works exclusively on Tales games, is working on the port for a Japanese release in 2004. The company is expecting to add to the game in some unspecified areas.

Tales of Rebirth, meanwhile, is a completely new game in the series. Taking place in the world of Kalegia, where two races of man, Humes and Gajem, exist together, the game presents a brand new story. You play as a character hardened by some incident in his past.

We expect to have more details on both Tales games shortly. Stay tuned.

This hasn't been confirmed for the US yet has it????? I didn't think so at least. But I guess it's sumewhat of a likely happening.

Either way we get it first. So it doesn't matter, kind of like Xbox getting Splinter Cell first. So by the time it comes out it's not a big deal, graphics will be worse, and load times longer... So no worries here.
