Possibly the biggest GDC highlight for Nintendo fans was the keynote speech given by Nintendo figurehead and general nerd idol Shigeru Miyamoto. The speech itself was a bit of a yawner, with lots of talk about the history of video games and evolving philosophies and blah blah blah, but then at the end he showed a nice, juicy trailer for Super Mario Galaxy, and it was all worth it. Based on what was shown, this is probably the most graphically impressive Wii game, and I'm genuinely intrigued by the way it plays with gravity and perspective.
