IGN is claiming 1080p for Oblivion

I don't care if it is, I want to know if it will have frame rate problems and other bugs. I won't play this game regardless since I cannot seem to get wRPJs. I am merely interested in the dev's effort of a late port.

Sounds great, if it is true. I would love for Oblivion to be in 1080p. All those nice graphics at a super high res sure would look nice. Nut lets see what Bethsheda have to say about this. I am sure they will reply in some fashion some time soon. Otherwise it is the old lets all see what it looks like when it comes out thing.

Why do you think that? Microsoft does not own any of Bethesda nor do they owe Microsoft anything. If they want to push their game to a higher level then they could with no fear of repercussion. What is Gates going to do to them? Say they can't make 360 games any more? Yah right. This won't happen. So if it is true, then it is. But it all remains to be seen in gameplay. I dearly hope it is.

Actually the only reason that Bethsheda did not go for PS2 was lack of power. They don't dis-like Sony at all. And they don't love Microsoft over to much as well. They are independent as the come from the PC dev world. They just did not like PS2, that is all. X-Box had more power. Now that PS3 is here I suspect a lot more support from Bethesda is in the works. It is just like Team Ninja. They liked X-Boxes power over PS2's. So they went with X-Box. but now Team Ninja like PS3, because of the power. So they are making Ninja Gaiden for PS3. I bet that Ninja Gaiden 2 comes out the same time for PS3 as for 360.

I actually do not have a problem believing IGN would do such a thing. they already have. stating that MotorStorm not being 1080p is a downside is one example. they are that type of media...
