The engine noise is just wrong and those curb sounds are ridiculous. It does look good but watching that video i can already tell this game is 100% Arcade. The guy litteraly brakes 10 meters before the first curve and makes it. That shouldn't be possible. I hope there's a SIM mode otherwise i'm not getting this game. I was hoping for a realistic F1 game.

  3. Still no car damanges, really poor

That volumetric lighting thing at the end would piss me off. It may just be the video quality though.

For the 5 billionth time... There IS damage. It is NOT arcade. Sadly, the default is to have damage turned off and all the driving aides on. None of the game sites have picked up on this.

Very bad sounds, Sounds nothing like an F1 Car, Looks Very good but Thats about it.

Looks like the best F1 game to date. The graphics are incredible and online should be fun.

  9. I don't give a crap how inaccurate the F1 Car sounds, I'm getting this game no matter what. It's funny when we complain of the smallest of things that are not there and yet when we show to someone else who never saw the game, they end up stunned (just like my brother).

I think F1 can look uneven sometimes. I've never seen a game with so many damn effects, not even Motorstorm, but the sections where there aren't any effects, it can look a little basic sometimes.

But best F1 consolw game ever? Yessir!

Different expectations and facets of the game they are appealed to. If everyone thought just like your brother, it would have a one to one sales ratio and smash all sales records ever.

The graphics might be nice but if other aspects fail to have the same level of immersion as the graphics then many people will not enjoy the game.

Ever talk to hot woman only to hear here talk and she sounds like a wild board on steroids? Same philosophy here.

Huh? It does sound exactly like a F1 sounds. What is more, I'm betting most of you aren't realising that the engines do not sound the same depending on where the listening point is and the environment they're in. How many of you have watched a live race anyway? How many of you ever heard of the Doppler effect? How accurate do you believe previous F1 engine sounds were before now?

Looks and sounds fine to me. The vid quality wasn't the best though. In real life F1 drivers brake at the last possible sec. If you're doing about 180 and you let off the throttle, you'd experience about 1.1 g's of deceleration, from the areodynamic drag. Anything over 100 mph, and you can literally drive them upside down on a ceiling. A Porsche GT3 or a Ferrari 430 braking at full tilt would experience the same rate of deceleration that an F1 car would from just lifting off the gas!!!

Under braking an F1 driver experiences about 4.3 G's of deceleration.

looks like ps2 and i don't see damage and it has arcade handling, judging from these screenshots.

Well you know what, even if the sound quality of the cars isn't the greatest. Can someone name a better F1 game? At this moment in time this is hands down the best there is, Dreamcast had a great game Test Drive Lemans somewhat similar to this as well.
It also had weather effects, 24 hr racing day/night cycle, but this game is on another level.

WTF? I haven't seen many PS2 CGIs that look that good. And how the hell can you tell how the cars handle from a screenshot??
