“Had the religion of Christianity been preserved according to the ordinances of the Founder, the state and commonwealth of Christendom would have been far more united and happy than they are. Nor can there be a greater proof of its decadence than the fact that the nearer people are to the Church, the head of their religion, the less religious are they.”
"By their Fruits, you will recognize them..."

  2. That was the easiest one (the final guy).

Shadow of the Colossus: Today's featured article at Wikipedia. A must read if you love SotC, like I do.

Not too long ago, FFX was a featured article as well.

I have to say that I did the horse in a different way, LOL, but you could do it, I didn't even know that the horse did that. And i have to tell you the sand creature was "easy" to me because I figured is weak points by mistake LOL right from the beginning, If i didn't I would probably still fighting it.

  11. I finished playing SotC today (after months of playing for a week or so and then stopping) and it really is an amazing game.

The entire game is about killing bosses and exploring, an awesome combination. I thought that every single colossus was creative and fighting each one is as intense as the final boss battle in many other games. It also creates this amazing world and just lets you ride around on your horse just checking everything out without having to worry about other enemies. There is hardly any dialogue in the game and yet it still has a memorable story.

The game still has it's flaws though. Sometimes it's really hard to figure out where the weak point on a colossus is or how to uncover it, and the hints are extremely vague. The controls can really be a pain at times, especially when riding your horse or climbing a colossus. I feel like if the horse riding was kind of like in Twilight Princess and the climbing was like GoW then things wouldn't have been as frustrating, but I guess it would also have made things too easy.

I just got this from Gamefly a few days ago. I LOVE THIS FOOKING GAME! I'm playing it very steadily.

This is one of the greatest games I have ever played in my life right along with ICO; for reasons of the experiences they provide. I will literally buy anything Team ICO makes now. The can make a gardening game and I will buy it. In fact I plan to buy ICO and Collossus even though I will have beaten both of them. They are just like great movies. Just the same you could very well go back and play both of these games again. Just like I can pop in 2001: A Space Odyssey once a week and watch it before bed.

I am now on the final collossus. I was going to make a thread about what an incredibly good time I had with the game but I see there is a Collossus thread already so no need.

By the way the 15th must have taken me over an HOUR!

Man I don't know what else to say I just love this game. It rekindled my love for games when I thought they weren't worth making a little time for anymore. And it's last-gen!

  13. The 15th Colossus wasn't too difficult aside from finding the last weakpoint, which took me an eternity. Right after I figured out where it was the bastard hit me and I went flying off into the distance and died...after all of that work.

Then I restarted the fight and killed him in 5 minutes.

I just beat it....and I'm speechless. I can't remember the last time I fell in love with a game this much other than ICO. I feel really good after having experienced this.

BTW does anyone know the name of the last music to play at the end credits? I HAVE to have it! Beautiful music for a beautiful game. I give this game a 10/10. I don't care what technical issues there might have been. I was NEVER taken out of the experience and that's all that matters. Perfect game. For me to actually want to buy a game rental I just beat all the way through is an absolute FIRST EVER. That just goes to show how much I loved this game. Let me shut up now.
