Mass effect delayed till Q1 07'

So it looks like it slipped back 3 or 4 months .

September 5, 2006 - It's official: Mass Effect is coming to an Xbox 360 near you in Q1 2007. While this was unofficial news for the last six months or so, Microsoft is finally admitting it, the company told us today.



When we first saw Bioware's Mass Effect in Amsterdam in fall 2005, IGN asked when the game was due. The folks at Bioware said, "winter," without saying a date. When pressed, they said "winter 2006" and winked. Unless you're a complete noob, winking and referring to winter means in the next year. We got a good schooling in this PR procedure with Gran Turismo 2 and GT 3 A-spec, and so we weren't surprised to see the game get an official date in 2007.

Which is why you don't see Mass Effect on our Games of Fall list. It's neither coming out this fall nor this winter. Instead, it's coming in the first three months of 2007. Save your money, don't buy too many crap games this fall, and remember, Bioware + Mass Effect = Good.

Not a huge deal as there are other games to play and I'd go broke buying them all .

Doesn't winter in the USA start the last 2 weeks of Dec and carrys through the middle of march ?

so if Winter starts in December don't you think it could be a possibility that some people thought you meant it was delayed until the end of next year?

Depends on where you live. I think Winter starts in November here.

Thats alright if the game got pushed back. The way I see it is that the games just getting better for all of us. Besides, I'm still paying off my car for the next year.

Well considering that you have either

a) january through march which is 3 months or

b) 2 weeks in dec


Why would anyone expect b ?
