Yeah I jus bought Disgea 2 today and before I started I watched the trailer from the first one. The first seem pretty good too-but i don't wanna play through the entire thing if it's basically the same game with different characters. So if any1 beat Disgaea and remembers the important parts of the plot and the best endings it would GREATLY appreciated seeing as how I hate starting RPG's without the full story. Also I've read some1 where that the first main character in the game is unlockable in part 2? TKS in advance for everyone that helps....

And what I'm told, the story doesn't have anything to do with Disgaea 1... (Played and beaten it, and the stories seem so different.) Maybe it just takes place in an alternate netherworld. Anyways, the story is much to long for me to do a full summary, so just read a faq about it on Gamefaqs.
