MGS4 will make Halo3's sales eat dust! The amount of movie like visuals is going to floor people globally. The life like characters are going to send a positive message about gaming throughout the world. Universally people are going to begin to accept games in the same vain as movies. The entire gaming industry will be worshipping Hideo Kojima after the dust settles. Also it would push PS3's out of the gate like no other event in history. Banzai \o/

FFXIII would sell PS3's like hotcakes too. Also FFXIII would become the fastest selling FF franchise in Square Enix's history in Japan. This game is like being worshipped there as of reports coming in through Famitsu.

Resident Evil 5 is another one that is going to take the action/adventure genre to new heights of realism and gameplay. A shame that the platform crowd other than the PS3 is going to not appreciate it to the fullest as a whole lot of them wouldn't know squat about Chris Redfield's history in the RE franchise. I predict major success for RE5 on PS3, at a ratio 10:1 with the other console.

For obvious reasons, the FFXIII, MGS4, GT5, LAIR, HS, GOW3, SOTC2 (and other highly anticipated games) will boost PS3 sales beyond limits. Those games are huge system sellers.

But almost any game is a system seller. I am a big fan of WRC, so I'll get the PS3.

Yer man jvd is right, it's always a combination of games that makes someone snap and lay down the cash for a new system, although some guys like me buy it on faith.

GT5,GTA4(If you tend to lean towards Sony),RE5,FF13,MGS4,R&C,Some EA Sports title, Tekken, Virtua Fighter, lots of games that one guy will find irresistible.

I would agree with JVD, it will not be one game but a combination of titles.
If you go off of historical sales Gran Turismo has the best chance of making a huge impact considering the high global sales and console exclusivity.

I think we may see a new IP create a lot of sales and hype for the PS3 and Sony's strong 1st party & 2nd party studios is a nice strategic move. Peace

i voted mgs4 but after thinking about it, its a love it or hate it game (love here baby ) it will make it sell to hardcore gamers. but something like (other) R&C and games like that will sell it imo
