I personally find the whole concept of this game very intriguing, nothing about it really stands out in singularity but on a whole its definetely going to be something I have to look into.

The concept is awesome, but I'm not really sure what to make of this game, if it is even a game at all.

I have watched the video of this before. The close up scenes look GREAT but the ones where she is further away from the camera look absolutely horrible. The environment looks good, but she looks like a pale zombie when she is not right up to the camera.

If they can fix it so she can look good when not in close up's I think their engine will be supurb.

  5. Looks awesome, MILR, what are you going on about? You tend to make a mountain out of a molehill with EVERYTHING. No, really. But yeah, this is just a demonstration of the early tech behind it, sony just asked them to show it off.

There's a special kind of nerd though, who thinks computers will overtake mankind in thirty years, changing humanity in ways incomprehensible to us now, ignoring the third of the world without electricity. It gives spiritual significance to technology developed primarily for entertainment and warfare and gives nerds something to obsess over that isn't the crushing vacuousness of their lives.

isn't this supposed to be in line with Indigo Prophacy's gameplay?

I have to agree with MILR the close up shot looks great, but the distance shots look odd. I can't put my finger on it, but the character looks really odd at a distance, I guess the uncanny valley concept...

It's an impressive tech demo and the team has plenty of time to tweak their engine and work on the shaders and art direction. Peace

  8. It seems like Heavy Rain is a multiplataform game afterall:

IGN: There has been a lot of speculation since E3 that Heavy Rain will go "PS3 only" because of where it was shown. Any truth to that or can we expect to see it on multiple systems?

Fondaumière: We hear and read a lot of things lately on Heavy Rain. All I can say is: not everything is true and nothing is written in stone as we speak. For now, Quantic Dream is working on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC platforms.

  9. well, it's possible that this game will only be on ps3 and then they will have later cross-platform games. that's my guess, but yours is just as plausible.

    I heard it's the PRE-quel to Indigo Prohpecy/Fahrenheit.

    I hated that game (Fahrenheit).
