Understandable. We can't have so many characters that it isn't Nintendo's characters duking it out although EHRgeiz comes to mind.

If only Retro had some of those characters already. I don't want crap ones. I see Sonic and Viewtiful Joe as the best possibilities. They're non-mature and come from e-rated games. Next up I see Prince of Persia, some Eternal Darkness character, and some Soul Caliber character.

That opens up the possiblitu for actually fighting in air like Dragon Ball Z.

I thought it was easy enough. Who didn't think it was easy to pick up as opposed to Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Street Fighter, SNK, DOA, etc? I just hope they do something about the cheapness of such moves.

Bowser Jr., Ridley (SWEET!) and Celda Link are new characters.

Taken away are Ice Climbers, Young Link and Mr. Game and Watch.


I also heard somewhere that Sakurai stated he wants a roster 40 deep. Can't confirm it though.





Eh, Ice Climbers were kinda cool, you could use 2 items at once, but I never really used them. I've suggested they get rid of Mr. Game and Watch too. He's a fun novelty character, but not really that great otherwise. Young Link I'm not sorry to see leaving.

Ridley is sweet. I immediatly thought that taking out young Link was a shit idea, but then with the inclusion of WW Link there would be 3 Links (2 + 1 = 3), which is too many. I suspect they are now getting rid of clones. Bowser Jnr. is a bit 'meh' but theyre using him in alot of games and he aint too bad. Thank god they didnt put in Petey Phiranah. They spammed him up like a bitch. I hope WW Link and Ridley are sweet to use.

Ice Climbers i wont miss, but my friend (who hardly plays) uses them. Im more than a little sad to see Mr. Game and Watch leave. His super smash move had so much potential. (Pixel blast)

they need to not make the game easier...as in...level 9 characters in tournaments in super smash bros melee weren't hard enough. and changing the handicap just doesn't produce the right feeling. Basically...they need to allow you to make opponents more difficult
