Mirror's Edge, neeeearly half way through the game. Good init, it's like the original Tomb Raider games only faster, fresher and more fun.

I bought Fallout 3 off a friend today for half the retail and started playing it. I was so in love with Oblivion and this game seems just as good or better!!

Should be playing Mirror's Edge or Dead Space but playing Spyro 2, as it's more fun to be honest. Which cost me:

Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage Playstation Kids PS1 Game 18310 1 $0.01 USD

Yup, a single cent off ebay. Full game + manual. + postage and packing of course...

Heard that english fella on 1UP Yours say the cost of console gaming is now $10 an hour.

Mind you Mirror's Edge only cost me $15.

Spyro 2 has awesome game design, and for a PS1 awesome graphics too, so much packed into such a puny machine by todays standards.

$10 an hour has to be the average. I know I play for a lot cheaper then that! Most like a .25 an hour for me maybe, when I get a game, I make sure I play the shit out of it.

The PS1 Spyro games were great, I used to play them so much. Then it came to the PS2 and turned into a buggy piece of shite.

As for what I've been playing, I've been playing a lot of Lumines and PES2009 on the 360, seeing as I no longer have a functioning PS3

I should be playing Yakuza 2, but it wants me to learn the game of Mahjong before I can proceed. I don't want to flipping learn mahjong... I suppose I could walk around beating people up for money for ten hours to proceed, but I do play these games for fun you know...

Also played as much of KZ1 as I want to to refresh my memory of the story. It's not the LOD or the AI or the lack of jumping that scuppered the first Killzone, it's the fact it plays like wading in treacle. Sooo slooooow.

Finished the 2nd Spyro. Terrific game. Really well thought out boss levels, silky smooth graphics, difficulty is just right, very nice.

Started on the 3rd one. 150-200% bigger levels! 5 playable characters! auto level tuning! Last well recieved Spyro, probably the last you want to play. Also doesn't want me to learn mahjong. Very important.

Gary Oldman is doing the voices for the latest Spyro apparently....!?!

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/42033.html - Oh my gawd..... Poor Gary. Taking the game about the purple dragon and the farm animals way too seriously.

Also playing Tomb Raider Anniversary on PS2. Very nice PS2 game, unfortunately you do expect more of next gen than PS2 games in high res with nicer textures and a couple extra effects.

If you bet the 100,000 I'm pretty sure you get into a fight and you don't play Mahjong.

You don't have to play Mahjong at that part dude. Look it up on gamefaqs for the particulars. I know I didn't have to do anything... I just beat the ***t out of the people in that room lol.

Oh, I did that... They wanted more. I will consult gamefaqs.

10. Oh crap... I vaguely remember me getting stuck here paying twice also...

I think something was amiss... I think I just had like just under 100K and had to earn... I can't remember. It's been almost a month since I beat it (and I rushed through it more or less, I did really enjoy it still though).

But I do agree.... the function of this part was messed up... a game should never 'stop' like this. It's very jarring and really takes you out of the whole ride. It's like a roller coaster that stops halfway in a loop or something...

Yakuza 2 seemed to have this problem of not being clear on where you had to go or what you had to do. Yakuza on the other hand never had this problem and was a better game because of it. Definitely a good idea for the gamefaqs.

.........

I played and finished Beyond Good & Evil a few days ago. The game is epic. The gameplay is so insanely varied yet so grounded in such simple gameplay is epic. The graphics are epic. The audio is epic. The characters are pretty epic. The overall design and world is epic.

There are two or three rough cutscenes, one coming towards the end but not at a place late enough at the end game to hurt the ending at all (basically... they are really odd and seem unfinished). Aside from that stuff the narrative is very well done and the ending is absolutely what you want and leaves the obvious sequel, now announced, in your minds.

Framerate is a bit iffy on PS2 sometimes but it's understandable with the graphics. Not sure about the Xbox version.

Suffice to say as much as Ubisoft sucks so bad, Beyond Good & Evil better be in good hands and if it is BG&E2 is a day one buy.

LBP, Resistance2 and Gears2.

Glad you liked it curry, it's one of my favourite games of the recent generations. Apparently BG&E2 is in development, but there hasn't really been any news on it since the teaser trailer came out.

So, at the moment, I'm swapping between CoD: World at War and Gears 2, and enjoying them both. I had my reservations about CoD, because it's yet another WWII shooter, but it's actually very good.

I've been playing a few games.

GTAIV: After beating the story (finally!), I'm doing side quests. Right now, I'm trying to get all of the flying rats. I have exactly 100 of them.

Gears of War 2: I'm not too keen on playing this anymore, but a bunch of my friends still want to play public matches. Meh.

Jetpack Refuelled: I bought this game on a whim. It's pretty fun and challenging.

N+: I couldn't remember why I never beat up to 30 episodes until I replayed it. That mission is horrible.

Worms: I still have 6 more challenges to beat.

14. Glad you liked it curry
Understatement of the century!!RARRR! Lol.

I'm sure it's in the works man. It looks like Square has been working on FF and we all know how often we've seen that in the past few years... lol :P

I just want to know guys like Michael Ancel are still on board man.

Yesterday I played LBP online and it was EPIC. I can't believe I'm been missing out on online since launch. This game is fiiiiiinnnneeeeeee.

15. #975
The last time anything was mentioned on the new game, it was mentioned by Ancel, so he should still be a part of the team who are working on it.

Finished playing through Gears of War 2 yesterday, brilliant game. I dunno if it was just me, but it seemed a lot shorter than the first game. Maybe that's because I played through the first one twice in a day, I dunno

I must say that the end boss was pretty disappointing. After the amount of time it took me to beat RAAM on the first game, I thought I was gonna be in for a toughie at the end. But the end boss took all of 30 seconds to finish, bit of an anti-climax really.

Been raiding the dollar games again.

Blasto - Playstation
When the game starts Phil Hartman says "Honey I'm home", that's spooky when you remember how Phil left this earth. OK maybe I'm reaching.

Not aged well, but has a certain charm, kinda looks a lot like an Atari Jaguar game. Blasto reminds you a little of a Captain Quartz Prototype. Worth the dollar I paid for it.

Spider - Playstation
$10 game because this one's a little rare.

Nice 2.5D platforming gem.

Winter 2001 Jampack - PS2
FFX and a lot of other games looking much better than you remember them in PS3 smoothed hdmi video. Money from the disk goes to 9/11 victims, more spookiness.

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2 - PS2

Lots of fun because it's simple.

Hahaha! Are you serious! Blasto!? I haven't heard anyone talk about that game in forever. Hahaha great choice.

Uhh... Me and Omni and I'm not sure who (was it Lali and someone?) played the LBP MGS levels...

Yaaaaa.... yaaaaaaaa.... you peeps without this game are epic missing out.... yaaaa...... lol.

Yeah the intro on Blasto is priceless, deep cheese.

Phil Hartman was the frickin' man.

Is it just me or does it remind you of...

19. Lots of games but newest is Resistance 2.

Let's just say I've enjoyed the single player of the first one a lot more.

BUT

The online is superb freakin' fun.
Best online FPS yet I think (on consoles).

I haven't purchased any video games for a while so that my wife actually has some stuff she could get me for Christmas (I know there's a PS3 under the tree and I believe at least a handful of games waiting for me), so I've been wrapping up some older games and, here lately, have been playing La Tale for the PC. I suppose that will change tomorrow, of course, as tomorrow is when we open all the goodies under the tree. I'm into gaming and my wife is into movies so it'll look like an electronics store exploded under my tree in the morning.
