Are these physics demos from a PS3 devkit? If you have direct link to the article that has pictures for these video, that'd be great. Thanks

I think those are from Havok engine not ps3, but it definitely shows the next gen physics.

its being made for Nvida based GPUs so in a maner of speaking it must be PS3.

its kind of depressing that like raccons to shinny things deep down most folk in here are grafix whores.

proof is in the pudding this tread has gotten so little attention while everyone will carve novels out of stone over Motorstorm/MGS4/Killzones shader model...

    its sad

Very true, jaxmkii. Physics is what makes me giggle in games. I like graphics as much as the next guy, but what truly imerses me (depending on game type of course) is being able to have a fluidity of movement and realistic reactions within a game environment.

This probably would've got more responses if theres was actually screens and a link to a video file rather than zips.

And don't minimize the importance of graphics. Of course physics will bring games to the next-gen but I don't want realistic physics with unrealstic graphics. We need both for a true next-gen game. Just my

EDIT: Oh and the demo is very impressive.

Very true julps, you do need both for a more immersive experience. Everyone has the "thing" that gets them excited though.

They where all a VERY good watch. Looking forward to the GAMES in which this tech stuff will be implamented.

At least some of them are the Havoc physics engine, that is in tons of games, not to say that a lot of games will reach that level cause I have no clue, but it is good that it isn't some no-name engine.
