    it just looks uncomforatable...
and a track ball?!... how quaint
    We the people...

I guess it would be interesting playing fps with a trackball.

if it helps to 'borrow' a few Nintendo gamers then i'm all for it. i wouldn't want to play with it myself but i guess some will.

That looks severly crappy, why the heck would you wanna hold one half of a control in each hand? It makes sense that nintendo want to do that, but I see know reason to kill the Dual Shock 2 like that.

it won't kill the dualshock! it an alternative, like watching your PSP films on TV. the more choices the better.

  7. Its not even made by Sony. If its not a standard controller, it'd be hard to imagine too many devs making content for it tho.

They murdered it, didn't you see?!? I'm not saying them changing it is bad, just that I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pull.

They wouldn't need to, just plug it in, its a normal control that looks differnt and has a trackball instead of a thumbstick.

Sony didn't make that controller, Splitfish did. It's just a 3rd party controller, just take it for what it is. They've had similar 3rd party controllers back in PS1 days that were 1 handed controllers mainly to be used for RPGs

breaking up the pad in half like that should make it feel weird. I never played withboth my hands down.

but it does look nicely designed.

    Off topic:
Z with the greatest respect. the BBC in britain is one of the most respected channels for acurate and unbiased news reports and is valued in many countries. but even the BBC have the occasional April fool. are you saying that the PS3 forum is above even the BBC. its one day... just one day out of a year, of a life, for some at least, that ordinarily would be pretty dull and uninspiring... even depressing.

you mean to tell me the freakin Brits are better than us! those James Bond lovers with all their tiny Mini's! that is it! I am cancelling all my fish and chips orders for the next six months.

...well, make that two months since the damn things are so delicious.

as for April Fools jokes, add them in any threads you want. but starting whole threads for it? one or two maybe nice, but we would have had the entire first page covered with 'joke' threads. that is a bit too much. heck, there is a forum that threatens a ban to anyone starting threads on April Fools jokes. now that is a bit over board.

but if you (and others) want to do it anyway, contact the other mods to remove the sticky if they agree. it is fine by me. just don't expect me to save you any fish and chips!

It looks clean especially compared to that nasty Rev wannabe they displayed before. That thing was hideous looking.

This might be fun to use for RPG's. The kind of gameplay that doesn't require twitch reactions or eye hand coordination. Just relax, controller in each hand and play. Not sure how easy that might be to reach the top button for smaller hands though.

*changing the threat title since it doesn't have anything to do with the Rev remote*

I'll give you that, the first 'Revish' (theres a cool word) control that Spitfish shown was utterly horrable.
