Is anyone gonna wait for the next, next iteration of the DS?

Honestly no, i still play my origanel GBA and never "upgraded" go for the now or lite DS if you have agame you want.

Same with me. The SP and Micro are nice, and if I didn't already have a GBA and if the DS wasn't available to play GBA games, I'd get an SP or Micro, but there wasn't any point in throwing around cash on something I didn't need. The same goes for the DS Lite. It's cool and all, and if I didn't already own a DS I'd definitely get the Lite, but I do already own a DS and so I don't see the point in shelling out the cash for a slightly improved model.

I wouldn't wait for the next DS upgrade, either.

I will probably get the 3rd version of the DS. I'm skipping the Lite (I'm saving my money to get a rev) so I'll probalby snatch up that new DS in a couple years.

I dont really see what they can do to the Lite to make it much different though....

I can see saving money for the Rev..... but not waiting for the third iteration of the DS....

If you look at the GBA..... it wont come for at least another 2 years...but by then a new handheld will probably be in the horizon....

If I have enough money... the Lite will be mine.

The third iteration isn't for you to begin with. Unless you are a casual gamer or their main audience, a non-gamer. There's no known third iteration.

we'll see. I bought a GBM for my sister, and its one fine looking machine. its obviously a matter of preference. That DS Lite is in a whole other catagory though, its downright sexy.

The GBM is a great-looking machine. There's no doubt about that. What I meant was attractive in terms of features. The GBM has little to no benefit over the SP, especially if you're using the brighter-screen SP. If the DS 3 is the same way, I'll pass.

I don't know if this will help you but think about this from Nintendo's profit. Nintendo will not release the next DS until the DS we have now stops selling so well. I'd say your safe for a few years.

It doesnt' make sense though, the DS was selling so strong with the Christmas season, everything is going fine, and they announce the new DS, this should have waited
