Thread: When I camp out for Rev release at midnight

You all act as if it will be difficult to get the Revolution.

A picture is worth a thousand words...lol...anyways if I can preorder it, I will, if I have to wait, I'll be there around midnight and be ready for an eight hour night...with my DS and a fully charged battery. And it will be very hard to get if it's anything like Gamecube's release....

I'll probobly camp outside of the tile shop next to my Best Buy. After buying some extreme tiles at midnight, I'll head next door and pick up my Revolution.

I gaurantee you... ...if you dont pre-order one... ...it will be hard to get one.

Even the GameCube was hard to find when they first were released. I almost didn't get a DS at launch either. It doesn't matter what console it is... Unless its the Gizmondo...its going to be hard to find at launch for any system.

And quite frankly, even if that weren't the case, the Revolution is going to be a hot item. It's different, unique, and affordable. Nintendo has amazingly managed to creat loads of hype for it.....even by practically releasing nothing.

Mark my words: The Revolution will be a success AND will be hard to find at launch without pre-order or hours of waiting!

^lol, i think that is the nerdiest picture i've ever seen....video games, cosplay and LOTR all in one....

but seriously, i don't understand anyone camping out for any console. here in australia you'll get hung if anyone sees you do that...and if its a shop in a shopping mall, the security guards won't give a sh*t how much you love nintendo/microsoft/sony, you'll have to wait outside the centre on the street....which is not adviseable, especially in parramatta...

still, to each their own.... when both next gen consoles are released, i'll be in my nice warm bed feeling sorry for you all : )

The only time I camped out was for Oasis tickets and that was on my own for most of the time so I won't be doing it again. It was just too damn cold in the summer!!!! Nobody would sit with me anyways...

    Pre-order all the way...

Well, your avatar is the Triforce and your name has "Hylian" in it so it's obvious that you'll think this.

It won't be hard to find.

How does a love for Zelda make his opinion of Nintendo's marketing strategy different?

I'm going to do exactly what I did for my 360. I'll walk into my store before all the customers waiting outside, and purchase it at exactly 12 o'clock. I had to work the 360 launch, but this time I'll get to walk out of the store with my Revolution right through the crowd of anxious fans waiting to get inside. I can't wait
