Yea I got this game, its pretty good.
I enjoy the fight system even though its basic.
I really hope they come up with another one, after finishing it I felt a little empty.

hrm...hows the story?

The story pretty good, decent at best.
Off the top of my head, Its about a guy named Shinbu who get expelled from his clan for looking at an ancient scroll. He assist a girl whos being chased by armed pursuers, and finds that the girl is from his clan, she later informs him that the clan lord and all the disciples have been killed and is supposed to carry out becoming clan lord.

Beyond that you find the history of the character, his country, the five nations that make up this country, and diffrent fighting styles.

The game is remarkably detailed and the music fits perfectly to the theme, but like I said this game could really be something else if they gave it another go.

Im so far very near the start. I have played through killing the enemies no worries and have gotten to the bit where you ask to teach the wee kid a lesson.
okay so the controls are triangle item, square has never done anything but now it makes me go green. Circle has never done anything and x is strike.
basicly i get hit by the boy and i can break free from his combo and i die instantly. ITs not coz im bad at gaming as usually im naturall talented, but is there something im missing? like how to block or something, and i also cant upgrade my scrolls.
its making me maaaaad.

I have the American/Canadian version of the game so my controls may be diffrent. The controls are: Triangle use Item (only if you have one equiped), Square use Magic (holding it charges you chi, and pressing it when full unleshes magic), Circle (for me) is to atack, and X is to throw your sword (this is obtain in a few levels), R is to change your fighting style, L is to switch your item (if two or more are equiped).

Did you save after you entered the dojo? If so what level are you at cause you cant go back and level up.

Eigen is pretty tough if you dont level up enough, before you go into battle have your magic charged up, hit a combo and alternate with a magic blast. Find time to get run away so you can charge your magic, if anything use this to your advantage. Also if your stuck in his combo hold the attack button to do a counter evade.

anyways hold the attack button to block he'll get like two hits in but it helps

i also didnt realise that you could break boxes, as i couldnt use my sword out of combat, i tried it once but it didnt work.
being honest my mate used to always shout at me for reading an instruction manual so its kinda stuck not to.
i restarted the game and spent time actually figuring things out, which iv never had to do before. untill much later in trhe game where things come naturally, and well the boss then turned out to be rediculously easy
