If they delay SSB, it has to be like a month after Rev launch. Like how SSBM released after GCN. However, I'd venture to guess Nintendo would consider delaying Revolution before allowing it to release without SSB (or at least without SSB releasing soon after).
| Want a free 360? Yeah, so do I.
Thank you, thank you.
The Revolution is a next-generation console. Except the GPU to atleast match the Geforce 7800GTX, if not the 512MB variant. I really wouldn't be surprised if the Revolution surpasses the Xbox 360, that console is not that powerful. Xbox was released 2 years after the PS2, obviously it's going to be more powerful. This case, it's completely different, Nintendo has always been able to release a powerful console. The Revolution won't disappoint in the visual department and RE4 visuals won't cut it, even though I'm still fine with Xenosaga Ep1 visuals.

I can't wait for Matt to set fire to this...because he'll always wonder, what it would look like if it had HD-TV capacity...
I wonder if they should use the delay on LoZ:TP to make it Revolution compatable, and make it a launch title...instead of releasing it on the GameCube...

That would be TERRIBLE after promising a GCN release fo so long, and it wouldn't be good to shift the gameplay from the GCN controller to the so vastly different Rev controller when the whole game is basically made with the GCN controller in mind. What they can do however, is have Revolution provide something extra in TP that isn't possible in GCN, maybe some corny online stat thing, anything just to make it attractive to both systems.Originally Posted by Mathx
Yay.
I might get my slightly more advanced than Xbox Revolution by May 2007.
Nice.
oh god... so much asshattery...
TP is for the GCN, get over it.
Revolution will have perty graphics and great gameplay and will come out when it's ready to come out, get over it.

glad they finally got off their asses...
^ tall poppy syndrome is both funny and sad.
The next SSB should be released at launch with every Revolution, with online capabilities. Look at what that strategy did for xbox.
well, with this news i wouldn't spend more than $150 for it. they SURE AS HELL better have something GOOD up their sleeves. if there is no real noticable upgrade in the graphics dept i probably won't buy it anyway, and if thats the case they could have just released the freestyle controller for the gamecube.
probably best you not buy nintendo then XD

No computer component designer in the world would develop new chips from the ground up if they only achieve a marginal improvement. If that's all it's going to be then why not slap in a G4 and a 9800 and call it a day?
Nintendo has always, ALWAYS, downplayed graphics but has always, ALWAYS, had either th emost powerful or damn near the most powerful home console of every generation.
Xbox - $475 to make at launch
GC - $209 to make at launch
Strange the Xbox is only barely more capable graphically than GC for more than twice the cost.
Stop buying into the anti-hype. Use logic, reason and precedence and you'll get a far better idea of what to expect than all this nonsense.
Besides all that, the advancement in gameplay alone makes the entry far worth it's possible $199.99 price tage regardless of graphical prowess.
People do you know how easy and cheap is making a console that kill XB performance/features by far, if you try to find I think that you cant even find components that are only 4x times more powerfull than XB.
Even for UE3 a X1300+ 5 mg edram+ a 970FX should run it easily(in a console but worst on a PC) it and it would be very very cheap cheap, specially in 2006.
Plus if it is indeed a dualcore CPU how can it be only that?
After saying this, I hope you didn't plop down 400 smackers for a 360.Originally Posted by dew
Any of you think that with this SSB game will let you free-roam instead of side scroll? Or maybe just change up the game play completely because of the new controller? I'm interested if they are going to go by the method Aint broke, don’t fix it, or if they decide its time for something new and daring.
Viper did just spank some justice into those hooligans didn't he IEatFriedPikmin? And try Pikmin with Umpa Lunpa, fu*king pwns veil...
Nintendo is not stupid; they know graphics are important when it comes to gathering peeps. I'll explain why now, bitch.
When you are trying to expand your demographic, you need to pull every trick out your booty to get them peeps on your side. My father/mother/any other parent will not play games that look like shizz. Parents need to buy into the graphics, thinking they are real or damn near close to being real. That means the Revolution's graphical capacities will be good, not HD good but they have to be close in order to accomplish their goals.
This and the whole new CPU/GPU combo is a center reason to all the polygon nassies on why the Revo's graphics will pwn.
About time someone said it, it was getting quite annoying how people considered alpha kits that are based on 'Cube hardware and don't even include Hollywood & Broadway yet as a final dev kit.Originally Posted by Viper
Well to be fair it also had a built in harddrive and a DVD player, but your point is still made.Originally Posted by Viper
Anyway, can't wait for this stupid system to come out if for no other reason then the huge library of old games, i will never see sun light again and be happy about it.
