    Subject: Future of O3!

Hello my name is Joel Reimer
Im a Nintendo N-sider and rescently I have heard rumours that O3 will be
    supporting the Nintendo Revolution!

So of course this seems plausable seeing as Nintendo stated it will be
cheaper than any other next-gen platform to develope for, and Nintendo
stated it was built for smaller Developers/publishers.
After seeing the control I can see why you would develope on it.

So I e-mail you, Like I have Kuju and many other companies to confirm
support or non-support for the Revolution!

Knowing game companies rarely release any big info to fans I dont expect a
title or date or anything Im just hoping you can give a yes or a no. Or at
least a probubly or not likely!

If you can do neither please hint!

    Thanks for your time
    Sincerily Joel Reimer

They've published two. Alien Hominid, which was fun, and Torrente for PC, which was horrible.

They're currently localizing the 2D shooter Chaos Field for Gamecube and PS2. I hear that it's not so great.

Just to be on the positive side since joecool7 found this, more support is better then no support... but in this case its not a ground breaking notification that anyone cares about
I love you, I hate you. Will you marry me? I just want to kill you.

Hell I never heard of Swingin Ape Studios till "Metal Arms" and that game kicked some serious ass. So i'll give these guys the benefit of the doubt
    May Peace Be With You

This is the response you recieved, right? They said that the platforms they decide to support depends on the title, nothing else. They did not confirm anything, sorry.

With that said, the PDA games were great, I played those so much more than the main Alien Hominid game.

lol, I've never heard of them either, but I have to go along with Royk on this one and give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they'll come out with something great, almost every company does once in a while

AH was just insanely fun but O3 just published it not made it Behemoth did. But seeing they published one of their games i can see more being logical. But then again with lower game costs on the Rev i can see alot of smaller makers heading to them, yay for the little guy.

Yeah theres gonna be a whole lotta small developers that we never heard of developing for the rev.

Will this end up being a good thing, or will they must release a bunch of low-rate crappy games. We'll just have to wait and see.

Doubtfull, Nintendo created its "Seal Of Quality" program after the great game crash when the market got flooded with crappy games. Nintendo's Seal of Quality is generally very high. I know of a few Developers who wanted to place games on GCN but Nintendo stated their games where not Nintendo Quality. So while we will see a ton of smaller developers Nintendo still will keep its standards high.

Meaning only the best small 3rd parties will make it,Nintendo will filter out the garbage.

Although that game Nintendo denied sold 200K on PC, which is quit good for a small 3rd party on such a overly flooded market like PC.

^As I remember it, that program was discontinued some time ago.

  15. Nope Nintendo's Seal of Quality still remains the game that failed applied early last year. and while it isnt called seal of Quality its now called Official Nintendo Seal!

The official Nintendo Seal replaced both the Nintendo Seal of Quality and Nintendo seal of Approval by merging them into one program. that doesnt change the fact that it still exists.

Nintendo still has a standard system for approving games not just any junk will be approved! The Seal Of quality team just works with the Seal of Approval team now!
