    If you could make a game?

    If you had the power to make a game, with simple thought, what would it be?

    I've thought of a few, but at this moment, this one stands out.

    I'm not quite sure on what it would be called. 'Grey Resistence' maybe.

    Anyway.

    The game itself would be set in a Jewish (or other) ghetto, during WWII. The game would be played in a first person/third person view.
    During the first (of three) chapters, you would be given the responsibility of making sure your family members don't get caught. Which could lead to hours of replayabilty, you would be charged with finding food, weapons (if that's what you want), or anything else. Random events would happen, such as bombings, Nazi raids, ect.... If you wished, you could dress as a Nazi soldier, and kill your family, although the game would try to make you feel a certain love towards these characters. I'm not quite sure what the other "chapters" would be like, but I've an idea.
    I'm thinking the second chapter should be stealth based, or getting weapons for the uprising, and the third chapter would be the uprising.

    Have you any ideas?

    The game wouldn't necessarily have to be about a ghetto dweller. Just a game that detracts focus from the battlefield.

    I've been thinking about a game idea since I was in 5th grade. I've also tried thinking up of certain gameplay stuff so I could make it one awesome RPG with action elements (like how some games have some cool action scenes in their in-game movies....I want to make it so that you get to control the character during those events).
    I don't want to go into too much detail though since it's a lot of crap to type.

    of course! it would be a game where you are a criminal and you go around rapeing people or a fps called "Death in iraq" where you are a navy soldier and u hunt down binladen, but it would be a very long game not one of thoes boring short ones

    I would make a game where at very beginning, you are overcome by loads of bad guys and inevitably die. Then, when you try to start over again, the game will say: "Sorry, the main guy (whatever his name will be) is dead. If you want to start over, tough, you shouldn't have died."

    Well I was thinking a Kingdom Hearts game set in all the Nintendo franchises.

    *pictures* Well, if you could come up with a decent story behind it and remove little kids with huge keys saving the universe....I'd play it.

    Other ideas:
    -A Pokemon game for a console system that's along the lines of the Gameboy games such as Red and Blue, Gold and Silver, etc etc etc. Or, to take it to "another level," try making A Pokemon MMORPG. Create a character, start out in one of the three different "worlds," go around batting other people, etc. I'd think that'd be pretty interesting.
    -PSO for Xbox that doesn't require Xbox Live to play it offline.

    Im thinking of everyday life. Kinda like Sims 2 online, but you have a job. It's like the ultimate roleplaying game. You pick a character, name, etc. You work, you can fly in a plane to another country, real life time. You can either type to chat, or use a mic. You can commit crimes, become a police officer, a soldier, a doctor, if you're smart enough. Of course, though, age will be a factor. Im maybe thinking have the age system like Sims. You cant control any character but your own. You can be poor or hella rich. If you become hella rich, you could buy an atomic bomb and fire another country. Every 4 years, an american citizen would pick a presidant, it would be an moderator of some sort. You can get in car accidents. It's just practically real life, just on your computer. Id definately play it.

    Holy shit Teuvil, I've had the SAME exact idea for years now. That's fucking weird. It'd be exactly like real life, except if you fucked something up, you could just start over. You could map out the entire world. It'd literally be called "existence" or something. You could even have it import live feeds from a government agency that updates statistics as to how many people are on the Earth, it'd update itself. You could have a house, you could be homeless, you could develop technologies, drill to the bottom of the ocean (after going to college, of couse.)

    Why not just live life as it is then, instead of shoving it in a computer?

  19. It would have to be something "fresh", god knows the game industry batters every "trend" that pops up. (Vietnam games O_O).

    A "completely" non-linear RPG would be my dream, but it would take alot of time and if I had to make any compromises for the sake of technology, I wouldn't do it.
