Here is the trailer:

It's pretty cool to see that they're adding a character creation tool to this game. I loved the others. I noticed at the end of the trailer that it said for Ps2 so does that mean it's only a ps2 game this time and not a 3rd party game? Well anyways if any one has info on this game please do tell. ^^
All the info i've read of this game so far points to it being a PS2 exclusive. 8)
The new characters look pretty good, i just hope they have the balls to try some new stuff with this game and evolve the series, unlike it's predecessor.

One of the biggest and best beat 'em up games around is set to return to PS2 (and only PS2) this October. Wrestling the massive series from the grasp of Electronic Arts, our very own Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) will be publishing Soul Calibur III exclusively on our beloved console. What's more, Sony has the worldwide rights, so you won't see SCIII on any other console... anywhere... ever (unless we eventually see a PSP version, of course).
Soul Calibur III marks the return of such classic characters as the piratical Cervantes, soul-warped Nightmare and Bo staffed Kilik, but the 'usual suspects' aren't alone.
Three new melee masters join the fray, each with their unique style and deadly weaponry. Zasalamel* is (in our humble opinion) the coolest of the new generation; a mysterious hooded warrior wielding an awesome scythe. The new 'cutie' has to be Tira*, an elfin hottie with a barely-there crop top and a bladed hoop weapon. Last but by no means least, we have a more mature lass in the form of Geisha-like Setsuka*. Long of legs and deep of cleavage, she dispatches her foes with a sword hidden in her parasol.
But if the expanded character line-up doesn't tickle your fancy, the new Character Creation mode gives would be sensei the chance to mould their own warrior from scratch. The appearance, weapons and style of your contender can be altered, and knowing Namco, the customisation choices will be immense.
We'll bring you loads more on Soul Calibur III over the coming months, including details of the game's massive 10 gameplay modes. Until then, savour these 'hot of the press' images from the ultimate fighting game.

Thanks for the info and sorry about reposting the topic. I searched but couldn't seem to find anything on the game.![]()
It's all good, this is where it should have been posted anyway.

I hope they put more effort into the endings, they're straight up crap, they should take note of Tekken 5, rather than Street Fighter II. :?
I ask them to make SCIII on-line. SCIII with on-line play would kick ass. They should make more modes of play then just head2head fighting, but that alone would be good. I find it curious that they would not put it on the other two systems. I wonder why. I own the GC version of SCII for Link. Seems kinds stange, but oh well. I own a PS2 so bring it on!
I also hope that the rumor of Dante being a playable character is true. They need to leave in the Devil Trigger transformation too. Dante and Ivy should have kids........bad assed scary kids.
No On-line. No guest characters. Just more of the same old Soul Caliber. It is kool, but getting old. They just sound LAZY to me. LAZY SUCKS ROCKS!Nothing new or inventive here, move along, nothing new to see. Just some new characters and new battle fields. I am not so excited as I was before.
I bet it even uses the old grahics engine from SCII. So lame....
