Thread: For those anticipating the Zelda sequel

  1. For those anticipating the Zelda sequel

As my title says, for those of you who are anticipating the next Zelda sequel, as i am, what would you rather have as the next means of exploration? Since, if i am correct, the creator/president/director...something like that, he said that he was/wanting for Link to have a new land to explore. now when he says that, does he mean another sea? Or an actually NEW land to explore? A.K.A. the next hyrule. Because if i am correct in a Zelda timeline i found, A Link to the Past is the next game, with the new Link and new Hyrule. So, anyway, to the point of the post. Would you rather have the new means of exploration be on a boat in a sea? or On a horse (optional) actuall on a giant mass of Land? Me? i would rather have the old giant mass of Land.

    Mass of land.
I spent no time on this signature.

I liked sailing, but and it was cool as the idea of being a vast ocean, but the sailing kinda got old, or at least having to change the wind direction. So the sailing was fine, but the wind direction was annoying. A land explored on "Epona" would be cool too, and whatever they do, I stand behind it. Preference=Land.

    Add Me!

I am really looking forward to the erradication of the sea. I thought that the sailing got really boring after a while, I still haven't finished the game because I don't want to sail around looking for the triforce pieces.

  7. land with epona deffinitly. btw, has any new info been revealed on if it will deffinitly be cel-shaded or not? i kno mr. aounuma gave an interview and said it would awhile back, but sumthing tells me that was fake. it said in there that it was aounumas idea to go with cel-shading, not myamato. but in real life it was myamatos idea not aounumas. so any1 hear nething?

It's been said by Nintendo that the next one is going to use the same engine as Wind Waker, anticipate cel-shading.

I think it would be very interesting to base the next game in a time period where flying ships exist(Ala final fantasy 9) so you could travel in the air.

Now now young lads, Before you start flaming me for trying to convert Zelda's gameplay into an RPG like several other indivuduals on these forums, rest assured that is not what im doing, i simply think it would be highly interesting if you could fly in a hyrule that has gained partially terchnology, like thew world of Final Fantasy 9. In other words the world of hyrule doesnt necessarily have to exist in the future(Although making a Zelda game in the future probably wouldnt be a bad idea either as long as you can still do what makes a Zelda Game a Zelda Game)

It doesnt have to be a large cruiser with its own crew, just a small Air Vehicle.

Has anyone of you idiots ever actually beat WW? If you did you would know pretty much what the next ones gonna be about.

The Wind Waker was not a good game in my honest opinion. Quite short and tedious.

  12. The ability to see where I am going. Okay, maybe it was just the demo units that were like that.

    Maybe.

the water thing was a good idea, but it's not "zelda", u know? the legends speak of the great land of hyrule...not the infinite seas w/ islands here and there. i thought the zelda storyline grew up around the setting of medieval times. sword fights, great battles, forts, castles....i would love to have a giant ass war going on where u had to defend hyrule castle against ganondorf and his army of gerudo....that'd be awesome. they'll probly just screw it up and go w/ the cel shading/endless seas thing though, like i read. so....so much for what i think

  14. i'd like to keep the sea, but hav larger land masses that take a while to explore, so less sea exploration and a bit more land. oh and the next zelda is gunna be using an improved wind waker engine.

  15. Yes, a giant mass of land is a must for the next Zelda game, at least for me. And what do you mean, improved? have you heard any details on it, as i am just curious, not trying to prove you wrong or flaming you and such.

Oh yeah, and i did beat the WW, so i know what the next one is basically going to be about. But i am just hoping that you sail for about 5 minutes, cutscene happens, and you then are washed ashore and are on the new soon-to-be Hyrule.

That land will not be Hyrule, IT WILL BE YOUR LAND!

  17. #17
i would like a mix of land and see adventure, but the land portion would would be the majority of the game.
    May Peace Be With You

  18. firefly i think u forget, A Link to the Past would be next in the timeline, which was in hyrule, so it would be the new hyrule.

ill take walk on some land then do a little sailing some more land, kind of like the old final fantasy where you had to earn a ship to progress to new areas of the world

I want it to a large mass of land, bigger then the world in WW but you use a horse to get around. and link will go around saving chicks like in LTTP, and it will be called Zelda:link's quest for ass.
