    Killer 7 "Dated" in Japan

According to IGN (And their "Retail Sources"), Killer 7 will be released March 24th in Japan. Personally, I'm not too excited about the game - I have an interest in it because it's part of the "Capcom Five" and has been in development for years.

    Anyway, here's the article:
    Killer 7 Dated in Japan
"We'll at last get a chance to play this game in March."

We still may not be sure what Capcom's Killer 7 is all about, but at least we can expect to find out shortly. Retail sources in Japan have revealed a 3/24 date for the Japanese release of Killer 7 on both the PS2 and GameCube.

With a Japanese release for the still-mysterious title coming so soon, we expect to at last get a hands-on in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more shortly.

    Capcom loves cel-shading.

Look forward to some great particle effects.

Watch out for invisible demons - if you can control your character!

    What does everyone else think?

EDIT: Removed some unnecessary speculation. :P

Watch what you're dissing buddy .

On a more serious note, the screens for that game doesn't look like I would even have wanted to play this game...
"Please understand that in cases where the OS itself is acting in an unstable fashion, this software could behave in unpredictable ways. Unfortunately, this happens to be the case at all times with Microsoft OS's." - Japanese PC game disclaimers!

Well, you don't need one - Capcom has been developing versions for both the GameCube and PS2. Read the article.

EDIT: I re-read my first post and realized I was too cynical concerning the "unannounced PS2 version." While it's true that Capcom never officially announced a PS2 version of Killer 7, the fact that retailers are planning to receive and sell them should end any further speculation.

  5. Exerpt from article: Capcom has finally announced a release for its long-delayed shooter Killer 7. The game will be simultaneously released for both the GameCube and PlayStation 2 in Japan on March 24 for JPY 7,140 ($68). No American release date has been announced.

Developed by Gouichi Suda and his development studio Grasshopper Company, Killer 7 was first announced in 2002 as a GameCube exclusive. However, a PlayStation 2 edition was also announced in early 2004.

I just have one thing to say...I wish I was Japanese

Well, let's not jump to conclusions - After all, Capcom hasn't exactly tried to keep the game a secret from the rest of the world. (Do you know what Glass Rose is?) Capcom announced the game as part of the Capcom Five, their high-profile line-up. Ever since then, the public has been waiting for Killer 7 just like every other title on Capcom's list. (Except Dead Phoenix, of course.) Personally, I think Capcom's concentrating on the Japanese version first to see if their marketing plan (Being extremely secretive.) actually works. Chances are, there are English versions in development, but, if the Japanese version fails miserably, then the projects will be scrapped in favor of other projects. (Such as the Resident Evil 4 PS2 port.)

EDIT: Since this posting, IGN has posted an article titled "Capcom's European Plans." According to the article, Killer 7 will be released in Europe on June 24th. While that doesn't guarantee a US release, it does show us that Capcom wants to bring the game overseas. That alone is good news and raises the chances of the US getting a hold of the game.
