An utterly stupid question about playing PAL format games

OK I hope this is the right place for this topic. This is a really dumb question but I just wanted to know if you can play PAL format PS2 games on any PAL PS2 system in PAL territories.

I live in Australia and I'm looking to buy a couple of games from either Ebay UK or NZ.

Except for being in a different langrauge (depending on what country its from) any PAL game will work with any PAL PS2. :wink:

Otherwise they wouldn't all be called PAL.................

All PAL games from any PAL territory will work on a PAL machine!

I think I know why you asked such a question. Lets take a look at the NTSC format. USA and Canada use NTSC 4.43 and Japan uses NTSC 3.58. Can you play Japanese PS2 games on a US PS2 or vice verca (without a mod-chip)? NO, you can't! So hence your question was not as silly as you first thought.
