From the highly popular Japanese puzzle game Puyo POP comes Puyo POP Fever for a new generation of gamers, retaining the addictive qualities of its predecessors to the core.
Simplistic and extremely good fun, the game features single player and, highly entertaining, ‘can’t put the controller down’, multiplayer options, captured by a mix of 2D and 3D elements that become more apparent as you play. The additional fever mode adds a slightly different twist to the gameplay, providing opportunity to create a string of chain reactions that will annihilate your opponent if executed correctly.
There are a manner of unusual special effects onscreen as the action speeds up, combined with a colourful, ‘anime’ graphical feel which complements the simplistic nature of the gameplay perfectly.
Puyo POP is pure Japanese cult and a must have multiplayer game for all ages…
Features:
Colourful graphics in true Manga style, complement the simplistic nature of this highly addictive game.
You’ll find it hard to put the pad down in both single player and multiplayer modes!
Numerous characters to choose, each with their own unique abilities and style of play.
Various game modes to test the most advanced players, including the new ‘Fever’ mode!

This is one I'll definately be getting, love games like this.
I never could get into the N-gage version...
The aim of an argument or discussion should not be victory, but progress
That game looks very similar to games like Dr. Mario and Puzzle Bobble (judging by the screen shot anyway).
Same here. The GameCube version is a lot better though.Originally Posted by solidus
This game will be a port of the GameCube version?
Or will it have somethin different (levels, videos, characters, etc.)?
Found it interesting that Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine is part of the PuyoPop series.....
Wouldn't be surprised, seem to make it onto all of the consoles.
Ahh Bomberman, that would be good.

Yuji Naka, Director, Sonic Team, Sega:
The WiFi capabilities and the 16:9 aspect ratio are brilliant. You can play wireless online everywhere. Puyo Pop Fever, my first PSP game will be the first Puyo Pop Fever game to support online play on consoles or handhelds. It utilizes the Widescreen, so you'll be able to play with your friend face to face by holding one PSP from both sides.
Split screen on a handheld? Has this ever been done before? It utilizes the Widescreen, so you'll be able to play with your friend face to face by holding one PSP from both sides.
Even in one player mode the screen is usually split into two. Look at the screen on the previous page.Originally Posted by PseudoChron
Yes, I realize that. What I meant was, I have not seen many handheld games have a simultaneous two-player mode using only one device.
