This "GameBunker" place says that Aries was one of their guys. Very interesting read.
... one question though: WHY din't nintendo come out DIRECTLY and deny Aries and the fake On video? They must have realized how sad and angry the thousands of hyped up fans were gonna be when NOTHING was revealed. They should have detected that a fake hype was going to do more damage than good.

I will buy revolution just for Zelda alone... but the fake hype left even me with a bit of disappointment.

Revolution shcmevolution. I will have no problem spending money on a new nintendo console whether it can give me a revolutionary virtual blowjob or just is an online version of gamecube. It's nintendo goddammit!

Umm, Nintendo has a policy. They don't comment on speculation and rumours and such.

  3. I highly doubt Aeris was fake. Everyone at him cauz nothing happened on the 19th...but they're just seeing things by the wrong side. Most of what Aeris predicted was true, and no sorry it can't only have been good speculations.
Why didn't it happened at the 19th then? Nintendo got scared at the last minute, when they realised that both microsoft and (especialy) sony hadn't theyr console really done.
When the revolution will be revealed, ppl will realise that guys like Aeris and Tanaka wheren't fakes.

My 2 cents, sry for bad english.

  4. Aeries is a fake, but I wouldn't hack him or anything. If he was here, I'd probably congratulate him on doing such a damn good job convincing people he was real.

But if u follow the link at the top you will see he IS a fake why would some nintendofan at gamebunker go to all that trouble with screenshots n stuff just to proove it?

LMAO I remember all the people seriously worshipping and defending Aries because of his wonderful writing.

  7. Gamebunker just wants traffic. I for one won't give it to them.

I doubt they would go through all that trouble to make it seem like Aries is fake. I think this is genuine.

Why would Nintendo decide to kill the hype he was building? It got us all very excited about Revolution, and it would have been a stupid move to nip the rapidly growing speculation in the bud. They just let the truth come out eventually which may have angered quite a few people. However in the end, the Revolution has received more attention than it would have had (IMO), if this circus hadn't grow to such immense proportions.

Wouldn't it be funny if the Revolution came out on May 19th next year?
    I'd laugh my ass off.

"GameBunker" does say that... that doesn't mean it's true.

Did this "Aries" dude ever say what month, year? I don't think he did. Maybe, just maybe, "GamBunker" is just saying that "Aries" was one of their guys to get some traffic to their site. And it could be the 19th of another month... Space World anyone?

    *Just a thought*

  12. actually i am aries :trismilse:

also i think i'm beginning to agree w pudy that all publicity is good publicity

I think the Nintendo On video was made by Nintendo as a form of "integrated Marketing." Heretic PD made a thread called :
"Marketing company to distribute fan looking stuff on web for a Game company??!!"

As for Aries, he's a fake with too much time on his hands. If he really had been with Nintendo until 2004, then theres no way he would have known anything about their marketing ploys for E3 2005. He also said that the hooded character in the new Zelda game wasn't Zelda, it was. And there's a lot more evidence against him, but im getting tired of repeating them.

  14. Uh, how was it proven that Aries was 'fake'? There's a difference between "not showing" and "showing something with conflicting info".

Killed the hype? Hardly. I think we all pretty much agree that Nintendo's BFD is their controller. Sony's BFD was their surprisingly good video. The Revolution would have been quite pale compared to the shock of the PS3 lineup. In 2-3 months, the SpaceWorld show will start. By then, the PS3 will be old news. Nintendo will probably show more Revolution info then where they'll have everybody's attention. (And believe me, you ALL will be chompin at the bit over it. Dead hype, right.)

Nintendo made the right move, here. It sucks for us, but it also means Sony and Microsoft will have a real hard time cushioning Nintendo's impact. Remember when the N64 was shown? Not long after, Sega and Sony both magically started selling analog controllers. Think about it.

I think your english is quite good, it's not bad at all.

  17. better than most people who post on message boards...

Aries also said that Revolution would be more powerful than Xbox, I don't see that happening. Not if they want to keep price development easy and less costly.

Why would you bother to beleave someone on the internet claiming to be from inside Nintendo?

If he was a former Nintendo employ, he'd have his ass sued to hell and back.

He's not real, he never was real, he's just a guy who made a bunch of educated guesses and got people to beleave him.

Exactly what I was going to say. Good point.
