What do you look for in a plot?

I like unpredictability. Sinister characters like Pious Augustus and Ridley are always a big plus.

i like a story that makes sense. don't just make a plot to tie everything together without any thought. surprises are always a must, also something traumatic happening to one of the main characters

A perfect example of a plot I look for is: Shenmue. Most of you will disagree, but only a select few know its true beauty.

A good plot is made up of twists and turns but it still makes sense to the player.

yah of course, it needs to have mega twists, but not so much as to confuse people. that ticks me off when i'm playin the coolest game then all of a sudden i'm like...huh? then it kinda ruins the game. a good example of a good plot is chrono trigger or chrono cross. they're both awesome games. come to think of it...square usually has great plots full of twists.

dead on. unfortunately a lot of people missed out on this game, lot of times people couldn't get passed the horrible voice acting, but was as well crafted a story as there ever has been in a game.

yah but imagine this plot twist....your in the heat of battle...your friends die all around you, then you get knocked out! you wake up next to a dead, naked hooker with big titties. wtf? what happened? heh...plot twist!
