Half-Life RPG
The Mole has heard that some experienced PC developers have licensed the stunning Half-Life 2 engine in hopes of creating a first-person RPG and that it is coming to Xbox. My insiders have also told me that the Half-Life 2 engine is incredibly Xbox-friendly...
Take Two for One
Sources close to somebody, and I can't tell you who it is, have indicated that Grand Theft Auto will be coming to Xbox after all. Apparently the game will contain both Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City in one glorious package of gritty street violence. The game(s) will release on Xbox and GameCube approximately 24 hours after the exclusive deal with Sony runs out. My sources have indicated that on January 1, 2005, Xbox gamers will finally have a copy of Grand Theft Auto.
Out of Pocket
Xbox Music Mixer will let you hook up your Xbox to your PC... so why not your Pocket PC? Rumor has it that several developers have ambitious plans to take advantage of this connection. Just imagine a game like the next Splinter Cell sending realtime updates, like passwords or new level maps, to your Pocket PC phone edition. Developers aren't yet sure of the limitations that might be in place... but it is an intriguing prospect that isn't even fathomable on any system besides the Xbox.

Right now, I'd be willing to give any game using the Half-Life 2 engine a shot; it's frigging amazing. I dunno about having to wait until 2005 for GTA........ that seems rather pointless, considering the next systems will be coming out soon. As for the Pocket PC thing, that's badass; I don't know how many of you have used a Pocket PC, but they absolutely blow Palm Pilots out of the water. I hope to get one eventually.
I don't doubt that the GTA games will come to XBox and Gamecube eventually, but I highly doubt they'll come in one neat package. Rockstar had stated that Vice City didn't have enough room for another texture on the disc, so how could you throw the entire GTA3 onto it?Originally posted by Phantagram

Xbox + GCN = have better compression features than the PS2. But I'm pretty positive the GCN version would have 2 discs.Originally posted by jpmansfield

Yeah.... most likly the GC one would have one for GTA3 and one for VC...
Vice city on PC takes up 1.46 gigs... GTA3 takes up 680 megs... So with the right compression, you can do it...
But... like... i don't want that... i already have the GTAs...... i want ANOTHER one.. .a DIFFERENT one... maybe they don't understand that... stupid sheets...
You COULD get both GTA 3 and VC on one GCN disk, but i highly doubt they will take the time to do it.
Who needs GTA? Wait til True Crime...you'll see...
A real brand new GTA game for GCN would be great but a compilation disc wouldn't be all that bad.
Not that much better. =)Originally posted by Phantagram

I would prefer a new GTA game, Vice city wasn't all that good
